Iveria was founded in St.
Petersburg in 2002 within the Georgian community. Lead by director
David Russia and choreographer Irakli Rusiya, the aim of the ensemble is
to familiarize audiences with Georgian folk art and to impart to
children a sense of tolerance and respect for other cultures. The
ensemble's repertoire includes songs and dances from almost all regions
of Georgia. Iveria is distinguished by its traditional, authentic
approach which was the original idea of the ensemble. "
