So cool!

Nine, stunning 'Design in Motion' installations from Seattle's design community.
" This year, we invited Seattle designers to participate in the SDF Rumble, a collaborative workshop to rapidly generate ideas for large-scale, inhabitable installations to be constructed for public display September 6 & 7, 2014 at the Seattle Design Festival. Designers joined up with contractors and activity partners to offer up bold interpretations of the Design in Motion theme. The subjects of inspiration for each of these installations were: information, material, performance, science, digital technologies, the body, mind, transportation, and pop-up! Come watch a performance, play games, try out parkour, and interact with all the SDF Rumble installations at the SDF Block Party. "

2nd Annual Hopscotch Day in CD with 2.9 miles of hopscotching fun then a Hopscotch After Party with tons of fun featuring a carnival including free hotdogs, ice cream, bounce house, entertainers and lots more fun! (See Details!) in Seattle - Saturday, August 23rd 2014 from 9am-6pm, Record attempt at 1pm and after party from 4-8pm

Wish I was able to go to this one this year as it looks like so much fun!

Hopscotch CD is a 2.9-mile temporary hopscotch path around the Central District neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, USA. The almost two-mile temporary path is laid down by volunteers before the event, taking almost three full days, using giant stencils and a “chalks” made out of mostly cornstarch, a dash of flour and sugar and bit of food coloring. We invite all of our neighbors to come out, play on the course, add and decorate the path with chalk, and enjoy the many events happening that day: an attempt at breaking the world record for most hopscotchers playing at the same time, sidewalk sales, garage sales, games, story time in the park, and any number of great events thought up and put on by our neighbors here in the CD.
