Northwest Bookfest with 100+ authors and a lot more in downtown Kirkland - Saturday and Sunday, September 22nd and 23rd 2012 from 10am-6pm both days!


Head to Northwest Bookfest in downtown Kirkland and meet 100+ authors, enjoy 50+ writing workshops, a children's story tent, activities and more!




" Celebrate the literary arts at Northwest Bookfest, where readers, writers, publishers and authors connect for a jam-packed weekend of workshops, panels, classes and author readings. This family-friendly event features dozens of author appearances and book signings, scores of exhibitors and booksellers, readings on multiple stages, storytellers and hands-on activities for kids, live music and a delicious variety of food and drink for sale. All events are free and open to the public. "

Event will be held in Peter Kirk Park and the surrounding buildings.

Teen Writing Workshop on Thursday, January 5th from 7-8pm


Teen Writing Workshops for middle school, junior high, and high school kids at the Fairwood Library!

Kids can participate in writing exercises that will stretch their creative thinking and jump start their word craft. They will also receive a writer's notebook for free and enjoy winter treats too courtesy of the Friends of the Fairwood Library!

Teen Writer's Group at the Auburn Library - Tuesday, September 13th from 4:30-6pm


Have a teen who likes to write? Have them check out the teen writer's group that happens once a month!

" Short stories, novels, poetry, memoirs...the Teen Writers' Group does it all. We meet once a month to practice creative writing skills, share our writing, and gain ideas in a friendly environment. Snacks and fun for all."

Recommended for ages 12 to 18.

"Write Time" writing workshops for Teens at Hugo House in Seattle - Wednesdays at 6pm
