Arbor Day Earth Day Family Festival at Kelsey Creek Farm Park in Bellevue - Saturday, May 3rd 2014 from 11:30am-1:30pm

" Bellevue's annual Arbor Day Earth Day event marks the city's 23rd year of being recognized as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. The event will include a tree-planting ceremony and a family festival. On-site parking will be limited, so please carpool. A free shuttle will run between the Wilburton Park & Ride and Kelsey Creek Farm from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ceremonial Tree Planting, 11:30 a.m. - Join us for a ceremony that will recognize many wonderful volunteers and community groups, featuring Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2995. A prize drawing will take place immediately following the ceremony.

Family Festival, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Local environmental stewardship organizations will host free activities and eco-demonstrations. Junior rangers can ask a park ranger for an Arbor Day-Earth Day Passport and journey through the festival area of Kelsey Creek Park to various eco-stations. Gain a stamp at every eco-station to earn a prize! "

Sammamish Celebrates Earth Day 2013! - Saturday, April 20th 2013 from 10am-1pm


Another fun Earth Day celebration, this time in Sammamish!


" There will be food, music and several vendors on-hand with information on how you can be more "earth friendly" at your own home and several kids’ activities. EJ’s Catering will be on hand to provide some complimentary snacks for all who are joining us. Be sure to pick up the Kids Passport – kids will be issued a passport at the city booth and will need to visit all of booths to get a sticker from all vendors at the event. Seattle iMatter Now Earth Day March! - Saturday, April 20th 2013 from 11am-1pm


You and the kids can wear red, or animal costumes (see details), make signs at home if you want, and then march on Saturday to promote protecting the earth for our kids and future generations.

The march will meet at 11am at the Totem Pole at Victor Steinbrueck Park (located just north of Pike Place Market) then proceed to Olympic Sculpture Park to enjoy the Earth Day Celebration happening there.

Seattle Opera presents an Earth Day Celebration with performances and activities at Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center - Saturday, April 20th 2013 at 12pm


What a fun and unique way to celebrate Earth Day!


" Celebrate Earth Day with Seattle Opera! Come listen to free performances of the first two operas from the new Our Earth trilogy: Heron and the Salmon Girl and Rushing Upriver. Created for our youngest operagoers and their families, Our Earth is about a network of ecosystems turned upside down when one species disappears. Will Heron, Orca, and Turtle find the salmon and save the day? Come to Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion on April 20 to find out!

Performances will take place at 1:30 (Heron and the Salmon Girl) and at 3:00 (Rushing Upriver). Families can enjoy such activities as planting seeds and face-painting based on the animal characters of Our Earth. Have your photo taken against iconic Pacific Northwest landscapes at our photo booth, and enter The Nature Conservancy’s Facebook sweepstakes for a brand-new kayak.

Both performances feature Seattle Youth Symphony, Seattle Opera soloists and Youth Chorus, conducted by Stephen Rogers Radcliffe. Additional Earth Day programming made possible by The Nature Conservancy. This concert is sponsored in part by Seattle Center. "

Earth Day Walk at Yesler Swamp in Seattle - Sunday, April 22nd 2012 from 1-2pm from


Friends of Yesler Swamp is sponsoring an Earth Day guided tour of Yesler Swamp. This free walk is great for both adults and kids!

Yesler Swamp, with its active beaver lodge, is a fishing ground for nearby resident bald eagles, a breeding area for waterfowl, and a critical habitat for native bird species.

The Earth Day walk will begin in the east parking lot at the Center for Urban Horticulture, 3501 N.E. 41st Street, Seattle.

Wilderness Awareness School presents an Earth Day Celebration at 2 different parks - Sunday, April 22nd 2012 from 10am-12pm



Wilderness Awareness School is holding an outdoor event at the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle) and Marymoor Park in Redmond.  They are hosting a free, fun-filled afternoon of nature connection activities for families to celebrate Earth Day!

After the activities there will be celebration of thanksgiving with free organic snacks from their local food co-ops!

Activities at the Arboretum will meet and start at the Graham Visitor Center.

Activities at Marymoor Park will meet and start at the North Shelter at the farm area of the park.

The City’s official Earth Day celebration marks the beginning of Sustainable Futures month at Seattle Center and commences with an opening ceremony presenting insights on the environment by elected officials and keynote speaker, Roberto Ascalon/FEEST.  Program will also feature Habitat for Humanity Build Project kick-off, Our Sustainable Futures Experience Exhibit ribbon cutting, and more.
