Earth Day Walk at Yesler Swamp in Seattle - Sunday, April 22nd 2012 from 1-2pm from
Friends of Yesler Swamp is sponsoring an Earth Day guided tour of Yesler Swamp. This free walk is great for both adults and kids!
Yesler Swamp, with its active beaver lodge, is a fishing ground for nearby resident bald eagles, a breeding area for waterfowl, and a critical habitat for native bird species.
The Earth Day walk will begin in the east parking lot at the Center for Urban Horticulture, 3501 N.E. 41st Street, Seattle.

"Getting Ready for Winter in Yesler Swamp" at the Center for Urban Horticulture in Seattle - Sunday, November 13th from 1-2pm
Check out the Yesler Swamp Nature Walk!
" Getting Ready for Winter, the next Yesler Swamp Nature Walk, will take place Sunday, November 13, 2011, from 1:00 – 2:00. The Nature Walk will be led by Patrick Fallon, a graduate of the two-year Anake Program at the Wilderness Awareness School, and a popular teacher at WAS youth programs. On the walk, Pat will explore the wide range of survival strategies local flora and fauna use to get through the winter, take a close look at life under fallen logs and teach how to find and identify animal tracks along the trail. Bird watchers and nature lovers of all ages are invited. Bring along binoculars! "
You never know what you'll see but so far a Barred Owl, Coopers Hawk and Mink have been spotted!
Meet in the East Parking Lot of the Center for Urban Horticulture in Seattle.
