West Seattle Harvest Festival - Sunday, October 26th 2014 from 10am-2pm

" Over 40 farmers will be sharing their goods at the peak of harvest, while families can come in their Halloween costumes and do a little trick-or-treat. Halloween doesn’t have to be just candy, we can also enjoy the bounty the earth has to offer.

There will be fun activities for the kids which will include Kids Costume Parade, Trick-or-Treat, and Harvest Crafts and Games brought by the community! All for free!

THE DAY’S SCHEDULE:

10am – 2pm: Harvest Activities

11am-1pm: Chili Competition

Mercer Island Farmers Market presents Caspar Babypants! - Sunday, September 14th 2014 at 10:30am

Calling All Youngsters! (Or Young at Heart) It's the most exciting Market of the season for the preschool set. Join us as we welcome Caspar Babypants for a FREE performance starting at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday! Many of our food trucks will also be featuring "kid-friendly" foods like mini-tacos, quesadillas, and more. (Of course, there's always ice cream). Seattle Tilth's Harvest Fair with a kids parade, animals, workshops, live music and more - Saturday, September 6th 2014 from 10am-4pm

" Celebrate harvest season at our annual urban farm festival!

Participate in this fun, lively hands-on community festival with workshops, cooking demonstrations and fun activities for all ages. Eat tasty food and enjoy live music with friends and family. Harvest season is a time to celebrate!

Bring your friends and family for a seed swap, cider pressing and DIY herb crowns. Kids can participate in crafts in the children's garden, see a puppet show and take part in the parade at noon (arrive by 11 a.m.) with a marching band! Join our Facebook event and invite your friends!

So funny, because my son saw a picture online recently of a zucchini race event and was just asking me when he could do one of these! And wouldn't you know it, here is one!

 

" On September 22nd, West Seattle Farmers Market is hosting their annual Zucchini 500! Come to the market between 10am and 1pm to participate in making your own vegetable vehicle with wooden wheels and decoration and race it on the track! There will be races between 10am and 1am so everyone gets a chance to race. The Farmers Market will be providing all the parts for your vegetable car so come on over and race! Kids of all ages are welcome! "

A concert, game, craft and more for kids at Queen Anne Farmers Market - Thursday, August 16th 2012 starting at 3pm

If you haven't been to the Queen Anne Farmers Market, tomorrow might be a good day to check it out with the kids! The theme is apples and there will be an apple toss game (3pm), an apple craft activity (4pm), and a special The Harmonica Pocket performance (5pm) showcasing their newest CD Apple, apple!

30th Annual West Seattle Fest - Now through Sunday, July 15th 2012 - Various times

West Seattle Fest is happening this weekend and there will be all kinds of music, cake eating contests, wing eating contest between police and firemen, a talent competition, a sustainability and gardening expo, face painting, free kids art activities, a kids play area with rides and games, a kids stage with Bubbleman, Caspar Babypants and more! And there will be vendor booths, beer gardens, an art showcase plus a farmers market too!

A Kids Concert kicks off the Farmers Market and Summer Concerts at Si View Park in North Bend - Thursdays - June 14th through September 13th 2012 from 4-8pm (Concerts at 6pm - In Sept. they start at 5:30pm)

Bothell Farmers Market's Opening Day with PONY RIDES and more at Bothell Country Village - Friday June 1st 2012 from 12-6pm

Check out Opening Day of the Bothell Farmers Market! It will feature pony rides, a planting table for kids, Zero and Some Buddy the clown duo, face painting and balloons. Author Carolyn Banguero will be signing her kids book Paolo's Adventures from 12-2pm at JJ Books and there will be live music from 4-6pm. Don't forget to check out the unique roosters and chickens walking around and the "Less than a Latte" train ride!

Kids events at Juanita Farmers Market - First Fridays - June 1st through October 5th 2012 from 3-7pm

First Fridays of the month, the Juanita Farmers Market will host free kid's crafts and puppet shows. There will also be special guests in the community booth (think girl scouts and the like) and live music, all summer long. You can check out the playground there either before or after too!
