6th Annual Sammamish Arts Fair - Saturday & Sunday, October 13th and 14th 2012 from 10am-5pm both days!





" Art will be on display inside City Hall. In the library there will be a full program of performance artists, including music, dance, puppets, theater and song and hands on family arts projects. In the outside area connecting the two buildings, there will also be art encounters. "

The Harmonica Pocket - CD Release Concerts in Sammamish and Crossroads - Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 14th 2012 - Various times




Check out the CD release shows happening at the Sammamish Library (outside) at 12pm and at the Crossroads Mall in Bellevue at 3:30pm! Tomorrow, The Harmonica Pocket releases their newest CD Apple Apple and will showcase their new songs!

"The Red Thread: A Chinese Tale of Connection and Celebration" - A free performance at the Sammamish Library - Friday, February 24th 2012 at 3pm

Interesting concept...check out this interactive performance presented by Live Paint!, A Theatre and Creative Arts Company.

" There is an ancient Chinese belief that every child is born with a red thread that attaches the child to everyone of importance they will meet in life. Explore this theme and aspects of New Year's celebrations from around the world through creative movement, story and art. "

 
Recommended for kids ages 3 and older.

Arrive early as seating is limited.

"Tunes and a Tale" with Squirrel Butter at the Sammamish Library - Monday, November 21st at 7pm

Go and see Squirrel Butter at the Sammamish Library!

" Squirrel Butter is a youthful duo performing traditional and original music influenced by Appalachian, early country, jugband and blues artists. Charlie plays banjo and guitar, while Charmaine is best known for her spirited traditional percussive buckdancing (which she somehow does while playing guitar).

Squirrel Butter will combine the telling of the Appalachian folk tale "Sody Sallyratus" with rip-roaring old-time tunes accompanied by a squirrel puppet. "

This is recommended for ages 5 and up.

2011 Sammamish Art Fair at the Sammamish Library - Saturday & Sunday, October 8th and 9th - All day!


The Sammamish Library is hosting the 2011 Sammamish Art Fair with performances, crafts, music and poetry!


" Performances include Book-It Repertory Theater's "Where the Mountain Meets the Moon" as well as Thistle Theatre's "Yo! Ho! Ho! The Pirate Show!". Learn to felt a bar of soap, create a fabric square for a Ronald McDonald House quilt and participate in other children's craft activities. There will be music and poetry programs as well. "

"Masks of the Rainforest" at the Sammamish Library - Saturday, July 23rd from 11am-12:30pm


Won-Ldy Paye and Village Drum will present three types of ceremonial masks worn in the Rain Forest of West Africa. Kids will see dances, hear stories and music that will transport them to a typical Liberian village. For ages 4 and older. Early arrival recommended as seating may be limited.

"Creepin' Critters - Don't Squish That Bug" - An interactive puppet performance at the Sammamish Library - Wednesday, July 13th from 5:30-7:30pm


Creepin' Critters - Don't Squish That Bug is a interactive performance and will be presented by Seattle Tilth at the Sammamish Library. They will explore common garden creatures like spiders, worms, ladybugs and explain how they live and grow utilizing stories, songs and giant puppets!

Caspar Babypants, the hardest working kiddie rock band around, will be at the Sammamish Library for a free outdoor concert tomorrow! 

Weather permitting, the concert will be outdoors on the plaza between the library and city hall.

KidsFirst! Noontime Series - Performances in Sammamish - Tuesday, June 28th from 11am-12pm - Featuring Brian Vogan

Brian Vogan & his Good Buddies will be performing outdoors at Sammamish Commons Park which is located on the plaza between the Sammamish Library and Sammamish City Hall. This event is for kids ages 2 and up and, of course, depends on the weather!
