This is a wildly popular event for kids of all ages!

" You are invited to celebrate DigiPen Day with us on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at DigiPen's Redmond campus!

This event marks our four-year anniversary of the ribbon-cutting ceremony of DigiPen's current facilities, where Mayor John Marchione officially declared August 27, 2010 "DigiPen Day" in the city of Redmond. This year, we will open our doors to the public once again and invite everyone in the community to play, create, and explore the worlds of gaming and art with us!

Activities include:

• Industry talks from DigiPen faculty
• T-shirt tie-dye station
• Temporary tattoos
• Lunch and carnival food
• Pottery art, painting and life drawing
• Student-made animations to watch and video games to play
• Minute to Win It games
• Balloon art and caricatures
• Inflatable obstacle course
• Green screen photo booth
• And more!

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Location: DigiPen's campus at 9931 Willows Road NE in Redmond, WA.

All guests must register online in advance.

Note: One registration form must be completed for each participant age 18 and older. Participants who do not register online in advance must sign a waiver form at the entrance. Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Please be prepared to show a photo ID on the day of the event.

9th Annual Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo with more Free Fun! - Saturday, June 1st 2013 from 11am-3pm

We posted about this last year and this year they have added even more free fun to the event! What a great way to honor their son and educate children on bike safety.


" It’s that time of year to remind kids about bike safety and have fun doing it. The Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo will be on Saturday, June 1, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is located on the backside of Cascade View Elementary School, 34816 SE Ridge Street and the adjacent Snoqualmie Community Park parking lot.

The Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo is a commemoration of seven-year-old Tanner Jeans who was in a tragic bicycle accident in 2004. This event is dedicated to keeping every child safe through bike safety education.

New activities this year include a bicycle parade and performances by the Mount Si High School cheer squad and the Snoqualmie Valley Unicycle Club. All kids can join the parade by lining up at 10:45 a.m. in front of the Snoqualmie Community Center/YMCA on SE Ridge St. "

All of the following activities are free!

•  Obstacle courses with bike safety instruction by the Snoqualmie Police Department
•   Bike helmets inspections; replacement helmets will be provided to those children whose helmet does not pass inspection
•   Professional bike inspections 
• Kids bicycle parade – 10:45 a.m. 
•  Performance by the Mount Si High School Cheer Squad at 12:45 p.m. followed by
  the Snoqualmie Valley Unicycle Club 
•  Bike stunts by Compass Outdoor Adventures, Snoqualmie Dirt Corps, and Gregg’s
•   T-shirts and safety certificates for all kids 
•  Hot dogs, beverages and snacks all day 
• Bouncy houses and face painters
•  Legends Car Club antique cars

Take the kids for swimming and swimming safety education this Friday at the Bellevue Aquatic Center!

" This fun event offers swimming and raffles while promoting water safety and proper life jacket use. Free designer t-shirts will be given to the first 50 children (ages 12 years and younger) who come through our front door. Event features free open swim for children (12 and under), life jacket demonstration, active victim rescue demonstration, spinal victim rescue demonstration, water safety coloring books, candy and water safety bookmarks. Raffles will be held throughout the event. "

Get Movin' kicks off on Saturday at several different locations! Get Movin’ is a program aimed at motivating families to get movin’ and improve their health by adopting a more active, healthy lifestyle through physical and recreational activities. Each site will provide a playbook where kids can record their "movin'" time of 60 mins per day 5 days a week over the summer. Kids will earn rewards for their activity (in addition to the intrinsic rewards!) and get to track their progress too! So, get out there and get movin'!

" Register for Get Movin’ at one of the four kick-off events. Each event is free with lots of fun activities, like martial arts, dance, games, special mascot guests, exhibitors, giveaways and prizes while quantities last. Participants will receive a Get Movin’ Playbook at registration, which will include program details, a tracking calendar, reward coupons and a t-shirt while supplies last. Menchies West Seattle Grand Opening Celebration with free frozen yogurt and much, much more! - Saturday, January 28th and Sunday, January 29th from 11am-9pm both days!

Menchie's is having a Grand Opening Celebration this weekend!
