Finally made it to the fair and parade last year and what fun it was! See photos below of parade!

note the time change. This years Parade will begin at 3 p.m. Then head to Gasworks Park for the after parade family festival!
- Yoga for the Solstice: Grab your mat and join us on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Reyka Waterfront Stage as we celebrate the sun with a hatha yoga practice. Planet Earth Yoga and Laura Yon-Brooks will lead an hour long, solstice-inspired yoga practice for individuals of all skill levels. Namaste.
- Dog Parade: Paralleling its human counterpart, fairgoers are invited to bring their four-legged friends on Sunday to participate in this fun pup procession. Registration takes place next to the Reyka Waterfront Stage from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Beginning at 2:30 p.m., dogs will parade through the fair grounds to the sounds of Tubaluba, an amazing brass band.

For more info. on the Solstice Parade* and Festival go here.
*Please note that prior to the parade there are some nude and semi-nude bicyclists strategically covered in colorful paint (some very creatively and beautifully) that ride the parade route before the start of the parade. This is a famous tradition of the parade. If you have no problem with nudity expressed artistically then enjoy. But if you do, then I suggest you arrive later than earlier closer to the start of the parade to miss this part and the ensuing conversation with your kids. ;-)
