April Pools Day with free swimming, activities, water safety education and more at 6 locations in Seattle on Saturday, April 18th and one location Sunday, April 19th 2015 - Various Times

" Before you know it, we’ll be trading in April showers for blue skies and bathing suits. On Saturday, April 18, six of our pools are hosting FREE public swims. We’ll be teaching water and boating safety and will have fun activities for kids. Don’t miss this opportunity to teach your family how to enjoy summer safely. "

April Pool’s Day will focus on four main areas of water safety: 

Preventing open water drowning 

Lifejacket use and promotion 

Cold water awareness 

Basic water rescue for children 

Events and activities will vary by pool location. Please note that Helene Madison Pool will host its event on Sunday, April 19.

"April Pools Day" with free swim, giveaways, a raffle and safety info. in Mount Lake Terrace - Saturday, April 11th 2015 from 9:45am-12pm - See schedule!

Head to the pool and learn important safety info. and enjoy a free swim!

" Make sure you and your family safely prepare for seasonal water-related activities by attending April Pools Day, a free, family event sponsored by Swedish Edmonds Hospital, Edmonds Family Medicine, and the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Department to promote swimming safety and swimming as a healthy lifestyle. Event activities include: Free swim from 11 am – noon, Free Swedish Edmonds mini first-aid kits and hand sanitizer, Raffle (must be present to win) 10:45 – 11am, Lifejacket test drives (try on different kinds and learn how to pick the correct size), Learn about safety around the water and participate in water safety stations 9:45 – 10:45am, and Learn first aid and water safety tips from a Swedish Edmonds Emergency Department medical professional. All ages are invited to play games, try on life jackets, ride in canoes and learn all about staying safe while playing in the pool and in the natural waters around us. April Pools Day with Safety Education and FREE Swimming at the Recreation Center and Pool in Lynnwood - Saturday, April 6th 2013 from 9am-11am

Get those swimsuits ready! Been trying to find a flyer like they did last year with all the April Pools dates and locations, but not sure they did one for this year. If you come across one, please let me know. In the meantime, here is one for Saturday.

" Get ready for spring boating, fishing and swimming season. This is a fun an interactive water safety day for the whole family. Safety session includes a FREE recreation swim. Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water. "

• A one to two-hour program promoting water safety and life-jacket use. (Participants test their life jackets or use pool life jackets to learn safe sizing and techniques for swimming with a life jacket.)
• One hour of water safety instruction and elementary rescues.
• One-hour free swim. (The water safety and free swims have also been conducted concurrently as a two-hour program.)
• Raffle for free life jacket donated by Mustang Survival, free swim lessons donated by pool and other prizes too!
