Seafair Torchlight FanFest with performances, exhibits, Seafair Clowns, Pirates, Princesses and more at Seattle Center - Saturday, July 25th 2015 from 12-6pm

" Start your Torchlight Night right at the Seafair Torchlight FanFest at Seattle Center. This completely free event boasts an entertainment stage, interactive exhibits, food trucks and the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden! Visit the Alaska Airlines Entertainment Stage for a sneak peek at some of your favorite Torchlight Parade participants including drill teams and marching bands. The stage will also feature a Torch Lighting Ceremony, royal knightings and appearances by the Seafair Clowns, Seafair Princesses and more! Once you've taken advantage of all the FanFest has to offer, make your way to 4th Avenue to watch the iconic Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade as it lights up downtown Seattle. "

Dragon Fest with dragon and lion dances, taiko drumming, martial arts demos, $2 food bites and more in Seattle - Starting from 12pm on Saturday, July 11th until 6pm on Sunday, July 12th 2015

Chinatown Seafair Parade in Seattle - Tonight, Sunday, July 20th 2014 from 7-9pm





" This traditional Seafair Parade is the highlight of the summer celebration that allow the community to show case it's ethnic diversity and colorful culture to the City of Seattle. Along with the marching bands, clowns, floats, this parade features the 100 foot dragon and many more lions dancing along the route is one of the favorite units the audience enjoy. "

"PARTY IN THE PARK" AT BRIDLE TRAILS STATE PARK HORSE SHOW GROUNDS IN KIRKLAND WITH JOUSTING KNIGHTS, EQUESTRIAN DRILL TEAMS, PONY RIDES, VAULTERS, FACE PAINTING, GAMES AND MORE! - SATURDAY, JUNE 28TH 2014 FROM 8:30AM-12:30PM - FREE EVENT, BUT $5 FOR PANCAKE BREAKFAST AND $5 SUGGESTED DONATION FOR PONY RIDES!




Join in the fun at the Party in the Park event hosted by the Bridle Trails Park Foundation! From 8:30am-12:30pm there will be all kinds of entertainment like equestrian drill teams, jousting knights, etc. Plus, there will be pony rides, face painters, a kids race called "Donkey Dash", and lots more. It's all free but they are asking for a suggestion donation of $5 for the pony rides.

And if interested, there will also be a $5 pancake breakfast, t-shirts and hats available for purchase.

Since this is a popular event they will also have a free shuttle available, as well.

SEATTLE ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE - SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH 2014 STARTING AT 12:30PM!



St Patrick's Day Parade!







Every year we try to attend the St. Patty's Day Parade! If the kids have never been, then go and check it out! 

At 12:30 pm the whistle will sound to officially start Seattle's 43rd annual St Patrick's Day Parade which will head north on 4th Ave from Jefferson toward Westlake Park.
" While all marching groups must pre-register, anybody with an Irish connection (and everybody is Irish on St. Patrick's Day!) is invited to walk in the Parade without any pre-registration. Seniors and others are welcome to ride for free in the "Seniors Shamrock Shuttle", a Greyline Trolley which can be boarded at 4th Ave and James starting at 12 noon. 
                                                                     
Parade closing ceremonies will be held in the Armory at the Seattle Center during the Irish festival at approx. 2:30 pm. "

Note: Monorail will be FREE from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm for travel after the Parade from Westlake to the Seattle Center.  (Fee to return, I believe)

McCaw Hall's 10 year Anniversary Celebration including tons of live dance, music & circus performances, video presentations and more at the Seattle Center! - Sunday, October 27th 2013 from 11am-4pm




" Seattle Center invites the community to a FREE Day of Celebration marking the 10-year anniversary of Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, 11am - 4pm, Sunday, October 27, at McCaw Hall. The entertainment-packed anniversary event features activities for every member of the family including live dance, music, circus performances, and video presentations on three stages throughout McCaw Hall. "

Dragon FEST in Chinatown/International District with all kinds of entertainment! - Saturday and Sunday, July 13th and 14th 2013 from 12-8pm (until 6pm on Sunday!)

This looks like so much fun...may have to do it this year! There will be Lion and Dragon dances, rhythmical Japanese taiko drumming, Chinese martial arts demonstrations, Asian drill team, Korean Dancing, Indian dance performances, and much more! Plus, $2 food and drink tastes from the local restaurants!

Seattle St. Patrick's Day Parade - Saturday, March 16th 2013 starting at 12:20pm for Flag Raising!

Every year we try to attend the St. Patty's Day Parade! If the kids have never been, then go and check it out! 

" At 12:20 pm, the Parade Grand Marshal Frank Finneran, the Honorary Grand Marshals Joan and Dan Flanagan, Galway Deputy Mayor Frank Fahy, Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn, King County Executive Dow Constantine, Congressman Jim McDermott, Congresswoman Suzan Delbene, and many other dignitaries, will raise the Irish Tricolor in front of the King-County Administration Building at 4th Ave at Jefferson.

That will immediately be followed by trumpeters playing the Irish and US National Anthems.

Then at 12:30 pm, the whistle will sound to officially start Seattle's 42nd annual St Patrick's Day Parade heading north on up 4th Ave toward Westlake Park.

Great events during "Celebrate Shoreline!" - Friday, August 17th through Sunday, August 19th 2012 - Various locations/times


Celebrate Shoreline  


Youth & Teen Skate Competition - Friday, Aug. 17th, 12 to 5pm

Skateboard competition (with prizes!) for various age groups & abilities. No admission fee, but a completed and signed liability form is required for minors. Paramount Park, 15300 8th Avenue NE.


Parade - Saturday, Aug. 18th, beginning at Noon

Decorative floats, marching bands, drill teams and others will wow the crowd. Parade travels south along 15th Avenue NE between NE 185th and NE 165th Streets.


Festival - Saturday, Aug. 18th, 11am to 5pm

It's a party! Come on by the Ridgecrest Elementary School grounds, 16516 10th Avenue NE, for live music on stage, food vendors, community booths and fun for the whole family.


Sandcastle Contest - Sunday, Aug. 19th,
(registration begins at 11:30am, competition held from 12 to 3pm)
Bring your friends and family to this summertime tradition, try your hand at a unique sand creation or just take in the competition from the sidelines. Prizes awarded! Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, 2021 NW 190th Street.

Seafair's Torchlight Spectacular and Torchlight Parade - Saturday, July 28th 2012 - Spectacular at 2pm and Parade at 7:30pm


The Seafair Torchlight Spectacular at Seattle Center will have performances, special appearances, and a special tribute to JP Patches! Go and see special performances from Disney stars Coco Jones, Jack Skuller and Elle Winter. There will be fun interactive booths offering lots of prizes, giveaways and free samples. And the Torchlight Parade floats will be on display along Mercer Street. Go get a peek of what the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade will be like!

Here is the schedule of events:

2 p.m. -Torchlight Night Kick Off

2:05 p.m.-Seafair Knighting Ceremony featuring Jay Rockey

2:10 p.m.-Disney's Jack Skuller and Elle Winter Perform on Torchlight Spectacular Stage

3 p.m.-Disney's Coco Jones Performs on Torchlight Spectacular Stage

4 p.m.-DJ and Drill Team Performances on Torchlight Spectacular Stage

4:30 p.m.-Seafair Clowns "Moment of Laughter" Tribute to J.P. Patches


Then in the evening at 7:30pm the 63rd Annual Seafair Torchlight Parade will begin! This is a huge, favorite, local tradition and it will feature giant helium balloons, drill teams, equestrian units, clowns, pirates and marching bands and so much more!
