" Each spring, the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation invite everyone to celebrate National Park Week. This year, from April 18 – 26, you are invited to celebrate all that America’s more than 400 national parks have to offer. From diverse wildlife and iconic landscapes, to vibrant culture and rich history, our National Park System has something for everyone.

Free Entrance Days for National Park Week from April 21st to April 29th 2012 - This year all 397 are free!

Weather is supposed to be nice this weekend and next in the Seattle area (not sure about midweek!) so this might be a good time to check out and enjoy a National Park for free. All week long, for National Park Week, ALL 397 of our National Parks will be offering free entrance and free parking. Come on sun!!!
