Free car washes tomorrow at all Brown Bear Tunnel Wash Locations to Celebrate their 59th Anniversary! - Thursday, August 25th 2016 from 8am-8pm


Celebrating its 59th anniversary, Brown Bear Car Wash to offer free “Beary Clean” washes at all tunnel wash locations next Thursday (August 25)

Brown Bear Car Wash tunnel wash locations will offer free “Beary Clean” car washes on Thursday, August 25 as the family-owned company celebrates its 59th anniversary. The company’s 22 tunnel wash locations across the Puget Sound will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the special event.

Last year’s one-day “birthday” added sparkle and shine to 26,437 cars and trucks across the Puget Sound area. For the past nine years, family-owned Brown Bear has provided over 250,000 free washes as it celebrated its August “birthday” with customers and honored veterans and current service members on Veterans Day. 

During the celebration, on August 25 only, two lucky customers will be selected to receive free car washes for a year: an annual membership to Brown Bear’s Unlimited Wash Club. Enter to win by taking a photo of your newly-washed vehicle and posting it on Twitter (@brownbear) or Instagram (@brownbearcarwash) with the hashtag #FreeCarWashDay.

Brown Bear founder and CEO Victor Odermat opened the company’s first location in 1957 at 15th Ave West in Seattle. Brown Bear now owns and operates a total of 44 car washes throughout the Puget Sound area and Spokane.  

“This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the community that has supported us for nearly 60 years,” said Odermat. “It’s a fun and busy day as we celebrate with our customers while benefitting the environment.” 

Widely recognized for its environmentally-friendly practices, Brown Bear uses gentle, biodegradable cleaning detergents at all its locations.

We have done this the past couple of years and it always goes pretty quickly, the staff is friendly and last year we even got a couple of giveaways to boot! We went at the end of the day last year and if memory serves, I believe they said that location did approximately 1300 free car washes that day! Wow! Free Car Wash for Veterans on Veterans Day at Brown Bear Car Wash (Tunnel wash locations) - Tuesday, November 11th 2014

 Veterans Day (next Tuesday, November 11)

SEATTLE--As a way of saying “thank you” to our military, Brown Bear offers free “Bear Essentials” car washes to all current or former members of the military on Veterans Day, next Tuesday, November 11. See www.brownbear.com for a list of participating tunnel wash locations.
The offer will operate on an honor system and no verification or documentation is required. Drivers should identify themselves as a current or former member of the military to the wash attendant.
“The event is our way of demonstrating appreciation for those who currently serve our country and have made sacrifices on behalf of all of us,” said Brown Bear Car Wash President Vic Odermat, who founded the company in 1957 and is a proud US Marine veteran. “It reflects our bond to the communities we serve, including a large armed services presence here.”

Brown Bear Car Wash is celebrating their 54th anniversary with free car washes - Thursday, August 25th from 8am-8pm. All you have to do is show up and get a free “Bear Essential” wash at any of their tunnel locations in the greater Seattle area!
