" Start your Torchlight Night right at the Seafair Torchlight FanFest at Seattle Center. This completely free event boasts an entertainment stage, interactive exhibits, food trucks and the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden! Visit the Alaska Airlines Entertainment Stage for a sneak peek at some of your favorite Torchlight Parade participants including drill teams and marching bands. The stage will also feature a Torch Lighting Ceremony, royal knightings and appearances by the Seafair Clowns, Seafair Princesses and more! Once you've taken advantage of all the FanFest has to offer, make your way to 4th Avenue to watch the iconic Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade as it lights up downtown Seattle. "

SEAFAIR PIRATES LANDING (TO KICK OFF SEAFAIR AND SUMMERTIME!) ON ALKI BEACH ON SATURDAY, JUNE 28TH 2014 from 9:30-3:30 with pirates landing about 11:30ISH!

Avast ye matey! Go see the Seafair Pirates land on the shores of Alki Beach! It is the kickoff of the Seafair 2014 celebration and there will be live music, inflatable rides, a pirate look-a-like contest with prizes and more!

" Ahoy, Matey - It's Pirate-Style Party at Alki Beach! 

The cutthroat Seafair Pirates crew has made a deal with their new Captain Kidd and are comin’ to collect the bounty they left behind last year! Avast, the Seattle Seafair Pirates will sail in from the seven seas and the scallywags be stormin’ Alki Beach in West Seattle to kick off the 65th Seafair. Don’t be gettin’ in their way!

Merchants will be putting out their finest wares starting at around 9:30 a.m. and ye can shop, eat and dance along with the Pirates throughout the day! Including food vendors, toys, clothing, jewelry and art! 

The Seattle Seafair Pirates will land at Alki Beach between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The music stage will be there ta welcome ye with music from some o the finest local bands.  Belly dancin' and story tellin' will also take place on the main stage. 

Food vendors will be on hand and a beer garden located on the beach will be open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

If they dare, the little buccaneers can try out the inflatable rides for the kids! Later in the day they can be part of a Pirate look-a-like contest to win some booty. 

Dress in your favorite pirate costume and meet us out on the beach - Ready, Aim, Fire! "

The 43rd Annual Seafair Milk Carton Derby in Green Lake - Saturday, July 13th 2013 from 10am-4pm

Approximately 100 creatively designed milk carton boats will compete on Green Lake for the Seafair Milk Carton Derby! Families, adults, kids and businesses alike will be involved in the competition creating and building the boats and then racing them!

" On June 21st at Westlake Park, hundreds of Seattleites will gather to celebrate summer, get a sneak peek of Seafair's exciting upcoming events, and to find out who the 2013 King Neptune and Queen Alcyone will be! Westlake Park will be filled with exciting displays and booths from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. including a Rockstar Energy truck, the Albert Lee Appliance hydroplane, a vintage hydroplane and and a boat from the Seattle Boat Show!  Catch The 5th Avenue Theatre's Pirates of Penzance performing live on our stage in Westlake Park followed by an exciting program MC'd by the infamous hydroplane legend Chip Hanauer. 2012 Miss Seafair Veronica Asence will be there with the Seafair Princesses ready to perform the first knighting ceremony of the season. Get your Irish on! Green Stripe Painting with a mini-parade of Seattle Police Pipe & Drums and the Seafair Pirates! - Tonight, Friday, March 15th at 7pm - Fun for kids of all ages! (6:30pm if you want to Climb aboard for a ride!)

John Doyle Bishop Memorial Green Stripe Painting event!

" This month is the 100th anniversary of the birth of John Doyle Bishop who started this custom of painting a Seattle street green for St. Patrick's Day. Join members of the Seattle Police Pipes and Drums and the Seafair Pirates in this mini-Parade to mark a green stripe down the center of 4th Avenue marking the route of the St. Patrick's Day Parade. The painting starts on 4th Avenue from Jefferson St at 7 pm. You can participate by climbing on board the covered flat-bed truck or the Trolley at 6:30 pm at F X McRory's. Children are very welcome and there is no charge!

Seafair's Torchlight Spectacular and Torchlight Parade - Saturday, July 28th 2012 - Spectacular at 2pm and Parade at 7:30pm

The Seafair Torchlight Spectacular at Seattle Center will have performances, special appearances, and a special tribute to JP Patches! Go and see special performances from Disney stars Coco Jones, Jack Skuller and Elle Winter. There will be fun interactive booths offering lots of prizes, giveaways and free samples. And the Torchlight Parade floats will be on display along Mercer Street. Go get a peek of what the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade will be like!

2 p.m. -Torchlight Night Kick Off

2:05 p.m.-Seafair Knighting Ceremony featuring Jay Rockey

2:10 p.m.-Disney's Jack Skuller and Elle Winter Perform on Torchlight Spectacular Stage

Then in the evening at 7:30pm the 63rd Annual Seafair Torchlight Parade will begin! This is a huge, favorite, local tradition and it will feature giant helium balloons, drill teams, equestrian units, clowns, pirates and marching bands and so much more!

Not Free but "Less than a Latte" - PIrates and Pipsqueaks Carnival Benefit at Solid Ground Headquarters in Seattle - Sunday, August 21st from 12-5pm

Check out the old fashioned carnival with old fashioned prices that will benefit services for homeless children at the Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing, a program of Solid Ground.

There will be live music, the Seafair Pirates and photo opportunities, a pirate costume contest, a pirate ship, prizes, face painting, plus all kinds of vintage carnival games that will include Dunk the Pirate, a Pirate Bounce House, Walk the Plank, Cupcake Walk, Pirate Wiffle Ball, Ducks in a Pond, Balloon Darts, Bottle Ring Toss and lots more!
