"Light Up Monroe" Winter Celebration - with Snow!, Tree Lighting, Tractor Rides, Santa and Mrs. Claus photo opps., Animals, Performances, Paint Ball fun, Chocolate Tasting and more! - Today, Saturday, December 6th 2014 until 7pm - See schedule!






The 2014 event schedule includes:

11 am till 4:30pm: Free antique tractor-trailer rides hosted by the Western Heritage Cultural Center and Museum departing and returning from the “triangle” building on the corner of Blakely and Main. Rides will wind through the historic residential sections of downtown.
This is a great family and group activity – up to 20 people can ride along together per trip!
11 am to 6 pm: Take-your-own-photos with the real Santa and Mrs. Clause, on an incredible stage surrounded by decorations and an artisan bazaar.
11-6 pm: Various music productions will be on stage
11-6 pm: Food trucks, vendors, critters, SNOW!
12-5pm: Chocolate Tasting at various locations
11-6 pm: Paint Ball action! FREE
12-1 pm: Live radio coverage.
5:45 pm: The Mayor of Monroe and Santa lead the countdown from the Stage located on the corner of Main and Lewis, for the 6:00 pm tree lighting.

Kelsey Creek Farm Fair with free wagon rides, demos, farm animals, Cowboy Buck and more in Bellevue - Saturday, October 11th 2014 from 11am-4pm - Fees for other things there like pumpkin patch and decorating and bounce houses.



" Bring your family to the farm and enjoy a variety of old-time activities: live entertainment, heritage demonstrations, kids' crafts, tractor-pulled hay rides, and barnyard animals. No pets, please. "

Sultan-Monroe-Sky Valley Farm Festival with tractor wagon rides, horse rides, corn maze, pumpkin patch and more! - Today, Saturday, October 4th 2014 - now until 5pm


Ride the tractor wagons from farm to farm and more great stuff to do!


" The Sky Valley Farm Festival celebrates our hardworking farming community and rich agricultural history. Park once at the Western Heritage Center and we will ferry you from farm to farm in antique tractor wagons along the beautiful lower fern Bluff Road, between Sultan and Monroe. The Sky Valley Farm Festival invites everybody to “get their mud on” while spending the day enjoying the sights, smells and sounds on the ranch. Boot up and prepare to get dirty as you pet cows, ride horses and stomp through the corn maze and pumpkin patch. You will leave with a happy heart and a greater appreciation of the time and work it takes to get your food from the field to the table. Three Farms (clearly marked) along the Lower Fern Bluff Road, between Sultan and Monroe, off US Hwy 2. "

Scarecrow Mini-Fest at Magnuson Park's Children's Garden with Harmonica Pocket concert and more! - Today, Saturday, October 5th 2013 from 11am-2pm

" Our Scarecrow Mini Fest features a free concert by Harmonica Pocket, plus live bluegrass music, a scavenger hunt in the Community Garden Orchard, Children’s Garden exploration and nature art, garden games, kids activities, a ride-on kiddie tractor corral, and of course, making scarecrows!
You bring the clothes, pillow case for the head and we supply the straw and frame materials. Put your scarecrow on display during the Mini Fest and see if you win the grand prize! Fun for the whole family! "

Event located at Magnuson Children’s Garden & Demonstration Orchard/behind the Brig.


Admission to the Mini-Fest is FREE!
$10 fee for scarecrow-making

4th Annual Sky Valley Farm Festival in Monroe featuring Wagon Rides between 3 farms and ALL kinds of FREE Interactive Fun - Saturday, October 13th 2012 from 10am-5pm - MUST READ!


This is a little farther than usual but what a great way to teach children where all their food comes from! If it's raining, grab your rain jackets and boots and go anyway!

" This Free festival celebrates our hardworking farming community and rich agricultural history. The three farms participating in this year's event include the Rivers End Cattle Ranch, Groenevelds Dairy Farm and Stockings Garden and Nursery. The Heritage Museum Tractor Club will ferry people from farm to farm in wagons...

The Rivers End Cattle Ranch-Visitors here will be treated to horse rides, a guided wagon tour, rope swinging in the hayloft, roping lessons and educational displays (also make sure to stop by and see Miss Pig Pig and her little piglets)....

Groenevelds Dairy Farm-Here visitors will spend the day learning about where milk and cheese come from. There will be guided tours, informational booths and so much more. The milking starts at 4 p.m.... 

Stockings Garden and Nursery...Here you will find the perfect pumpkin, stroll through the corn maze (fee), shop for fresh veggies and enjoy cooking demonstrations from celebrated chefs Gordon MacDonald and Mimi Stockmann, who will teach you how to transform fresh produce into a fabulous feast. There will be canning and cheese making demonstrations as well. "
