We'll
also have a silent auction of beloved kids' books inscribed by Mayor
Mike McGinn, Senator Patty Murray, local authors, and other local
celebrities, as well as a raffle of gift baskets for kids, sports
lovers, spa lovers, and cooks.
Our goal with this Read-A-Thon is
to give six new books to every child in twenty Title 1 classrooms in
King County. You can give six new books to one child for $15; an entire
classroom of 22 children will receive six new books for $330. Each
featured readers is raising pledge donations to help us meet our goal.
