Fire Department Kid's Safety Day at the Museum of Flight in Seattle - Outdoors - Friday, June 28th 2013 from 10am-1pm


Take the kids and head to the Museum of Flight in Seattle where there will be fire equipment on display and a meet and greet with firefighters. You and the kids can climb aboard a fire engine, see how tall an aerial ladder extends, talk with firefighters and department personnel, and learn fire and life safety skills through fun activities.

This year there will also be a fire rescue boat, a SWAT / Mobile Combat Unit vehicle, a Guardian One helicopter, and Therapy Dogs too!!

The Safety Zone will teach children safety skills and provide adults with life-saving information.


Free event is located in the East Parking Lot.

Reading with Rover event in Lynnwood - Saturday, January 14th at 11am

Check out Barnes and Noble at Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood for a special "Reading with Rover" event! Children can "share" a story with the community service dogs of Reading with Rover! These dogs love to reward good readers with their very own "paw-tographs."

"Reading with Rover" at Redmond Town Center - 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, now through December 18th, 2012 from 6:30-7:30pm


Another Reading with Rover event - this time at Redmond Town Center!

This is a fun reading event for children where therapy dogs (along with their handlers) will be there to listen to the children read aloud.

This ongoing event is located upstairs next to Pinkabella Cupcakes!

"Reading with Rover" at Borders Bookstore - Redmond - Tuesday, March 15th - 6:30pm

Come read to "man's best friend"!

The "Reading with Rover" event provides a relaxed setting where children can read to therapy dogs.  They say this instills confidence, increases literacy skills and inspires the love of reading. 

It's for all ages and no preregistration is required.
