Christmas Ships Viewing Schedule with Carolers and Bonfires/Special Lighting in Seattle and surrounding areas! - Now through December 23rd 2014 - Various locations and times!





Every year the Argosy Christmas Ships sail to different Puget Sound waterfront communities. Choirs onboard sing 20-minute performances to these communities, all broadcast via state-of-the-art speaker system. 

On shore, thousands of people gather around roaring bonfires anticipating the arrival of the Christmas Ship. You can either get on board the Christmas Ship or one of the Parade ships that follow (for a fee), or join with friends and neighbors to gather together for your own caroling tradition.

"Holiday on the Bay" - an annual, free holiday event with Santa, Firetruck rides, ornament and cookie decorating, face painting, a lighted boat parade and more at Port of Everett's Waterfront Center - Today, Saturday, December 6th 2014 - All day - with Santa Arrival/Tree Lighting at 6pm and Lighted boat parade at 6:30 - See schedule for rest of activities - Accepting unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots!





" The Port of Everett's FREE Annual Holiday on the Bay event is back again this year on Saturday, December 6! Kids and adults alike are invited join us for a day of fun in and around the Port of Everett's Waterfront Center.
This year, the event will include a craft fair with vendors from the Everett Farmer's Market, face painting, holiday ornament and cookie decorating hosted by the Imagine Children’s Museum, holiday spirits from Scuttlebutt Brewing Company and Bluewater Distillery for the adults, live music from local school choirs, a lighted boat parade and a holiday greeting from Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson and Port Commissioner Tom Stiger...and of course... a visit from SANTA!

Once again this year, Toys for Tots will be at the event accepting unwrapped gifts. Please bring your gifts to the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Center, located at 1205 Craftsman Way, by the Scuttlebutt entrance, anytime between November 24 and December 6. Santa's Arrival and Tree Lighting with Live Reindeer, pony rides (fee), train rides (fee), the Grinch, choirs and more at Country Village in Bothell - Today, Saturday, December 6th 2014 until 8pm...Santa arrives by Float this year at 7pm!





" It’s a holiday wonderland at Country Village with live reindeer, caroling by local choirs all day long, whimsical gingerbread house display, surprise visit by the Grinch, and 40 local shops and restaurants all decked out in their best with thousands of twinkling lights. An animated light display featuring a 40’ sea serpent, fiddling pig, giant dragonfly, marching ducks and more!

Be sure to visit Santa’s Workshop featuring on the spot Santa Photos by Arthur & Associates. Complimentary hot roasted chestnuts begin at 4 pm ‘til they last. Our own Town Crier will herald the arrival of Santa at 7 pm on his dazzling Christmas float followed by a traditional tree lighting. Everyone will get a chance to greet Santa and receive a candy cane. 

The Gingerbread House Contest winners will be announced just before Santa arrives. 

Doll House Baked Goods will be selling tasty holiday treats at Santa's Workshop. 

Pony and train rides (weather permitting) are open for a nominal fee. 

This event is free and open to the public. "

Winterfest 2013 at Seattle Center with TONS of FREE events - Now until December 31st 2013!

 It's here...Winterfest! 


All kinds of free fun (except for ice skating which is only free on Dec. 22nd) to be had at Seattle Center through the holidays! Most notable today is Ice Sculpture Carving from 12-2pm at Fisher Pavilion and the "Hot Dog" Jump Rope team at 12:30pm at the Armory. Notable for tomorrow is a Taiko Drumming performance and a Menorah lighting ceremony. Enjoy!



" A wonderland of sparkling lights, child-sized diversions and spirited entertainment brightens Seattle Center through the twilight of the year. Stroll the grounds, Nov. 29 – Dec. 31, and you’ll discover Seattle Center Winterfest. Winterfest Ice Rink returns, along with Saturday ice sculpting and lively weekend performances.

Visit Seattle Center Armory, all dressed for the season, and you’ll find some changes in Winter Train & Village, fresh food and drink offered at Northwest Armory merchants and inspiring student showcases. The festival opens with the Keith Highlanders Pipe Band and rings in the New Year with spectacular fireworks and live music by THE NINES. "

A Winterfest favorite, a magnificent, turn-of-the-century village in miniature size, with garlanded homes and buildings, snowy streets and a moving model train. Visit and take a turn controlling the model train between 10:30am-12pm, 1pm-2:30pm and 3:30-5:30pm daily. $2 suggested donation. Cash only.

Glide into the season with the greatest of ease and excitement. For novice or Olympiad, Winterfest Ice Rink offers fun for all. Imparting the power and eloquence of this mighty wind instrument, the Keith Highlanders Pipe Band seeks to broaden the popularity of traditional Scottish piping, drumming and dancing. As the official pipe band of the Clan Keith (a rare designation outside Scotland), the band has performed throughout the Northwest and internationally since its beginning in 1952.

Artistry and ice unite in a glorious and temporal expression of the season. Watch internationally acclaimed, award-winning artists at work as they create seasonal sculptures  – or stop by later to see the glistening result. Each Saturday an ice master carves a different design.

Dedicated to inspiring, motivating and educating people of all ages, the Hot Dog jump rope team, consisting of 50 boys and girls from six years of age to adult, has performed, competed in and taught jump rope workshops around the country and the world since 1980.

One World Taiko’s own creative rhythms, arrangements and choreography add a modern spirit to the ancient tradition of taiko. This ensemble began 10 years ago out of a deep reverence for Gypsy jazz of the '30s and '40s, growing to incorporate classic jazz and folkloric influences from around the world into clever arrangements and adventurous improvisations. Over the past decade, the distinctive Hot Club Sandwich sound has reached millions through performance and radio recordings charting in the top 20 of CMJ jazz charts.

Ring in the new year to the sounds of THE NINES. With world class male and female lead vocals, the popular band has been able to get dancers on their feet and blow them away with its high energy and pure professionalism. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, ditch the shopping crowds and come to Lake Union Park to celebrate the holiday season. MOHAI, The Center for Wooden Boats, and the Historic Ships Wharf will be filled with festive music and family-friendly crafts and activities all day. " On Saturday, April 6 at 2:00pm Seattle Men’s Chorus and Seattle Women’s Chorus will present their annual FREE Children’s Concert at McCaw Hall (Seattle Center). They are pleased to once again welcome some of the talented young performers from Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE. Additionally, this year we are delighted to welcome back Book-It Repertory Theatre, who will perform And Tango Makes Three from their “Danger: Books!” education series.

Music and theatrical pieces will be appropriate for toddlers all the way up to teenagers. Kids will have an opportunity to sing along and join in the fun and excitement. There will be something for everyone. There’s nothing like the wonder and amazement shining in the eyes of children as they experience big song, big characters, and big fun on a big stage. 1st Annual "Holiday in Volunteer Park" in Seattle - Thursday, December 13th 2012 from 6-8pm


One of our favorite parks will be made even better on Thursday with luminarias, music and more to celebrate the holiday season!

" Please join the community in a celebration of lights and music. Luminarias and choirs will light the path between the Volunteer Park Water Tower and the Conservatory. The Conservatory will be open until 8pm and SAAM will remain open until 9pm (free admission!). Hot drinks and cookies will be provided by the Volunteer Park Trust. "
