" The Kirkland Winterfest Holiday Tree Lighting and Music Festival will take place on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2-6 PM, in Marina Park, Downtown Kirkland.

We have an afternoon of performances, bon fires, carols, kids’ activities, games, Santa arrival, refreshments, food, and the annual tree lighting ceremony marking the beginning of the Winterfest Celebration. Museum of Flight celebrates their 50th Anniversary with 50 cents per person admission, giveaways, scavenger hunt and more in Seattle! - Saturday, September 19th 2015 from 10am-5pm




50th Birthday Celebration

" To commemorate our 50th anniversary on Sept. 14, the Museum invites the public to partake in a fun-filled birthday celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19. In honor of this momentous occasion, the Museum will offer its original admission price of 50 cents for the entire day!
Festivities include a brief ceremony at 12:30 p.m. to kick-off our 50th birthday and announce theAstronauts on the Town Instagram contest winner and final results from the online auction. Back from their exciting adventures on the town, all 25 of our life-size, uniquely designed astronaut statues will be displayed underneath the iconic M-21 Blackbird.
Activities will be held throughout the day and include: a 50th anniversary scavenger hunt, 60's throwback costume contest, a paper plane workshop, mini-missions in our Challenger Learning Center and more! Plus, fun surprises and giveaways! We hope to see you there in your 60's wear! "

Seafair Torchlight FanFest with performances, exhibits, Seafair Clowns, Pirates, Princesses and more at Seattle Center - Saturday, July 25th 2015 from 12-6pm

" Start your Torchlight Night right at the Seafair Torchlight FanFest at Seattle Center. This completely free event boasts an entertainment stage, interactive exhibits, food trucks and the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden! Visit the Alaska Airlines Entertainment Stage for a sneak peek at some of your favorite Torchlight Parade participants including drill teams and marching bands. The stage will also feature a Torch Lighting Ceremony, royal knightings and appearances by the Seafair Clowns, Seafair Princesses and more! Once you've taken advantage of all the FanFest has to offer, make your way to 4th Avenue to watch the iconic Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade as it lights up downtown Seattle. "

" The Downtown Issaquah Association proudly presents the 10th Annual Fenders on Front Street Car show Father’s Day Sunday, June 21 2015. This FREE vintage car show begins at 8:00am and runs until 3:00pm.
Thousands of visitors stroll down Front Street to admire hundreds of vintage and classic cars. It will be a fun-filled Father’s Day event with participants coming from across the state to show their classic cars. There will be live music, family activities, a trophy and award ceremony with MC Lance Lambert and an afternoon cruise to Triple XXX. "

"Light Up Monroe" Winter Celebration - with Snow!, Tree Lighting, Tractor Rides, Santa and Mrs. Claus photo opps., Animals, Performances, Paint Ball fun, Chocolate Tasting and more! - Today, Saturday, December 6th 2014 until 7pm - See schedule!






The 2014 event schedule includes:

11 am till 4:30pm: Free antique tractor-trailer rides hosted by the Western Heritage Cultural Center and Museum departing and returning from the “triangle” building on the corner of Blakely and Main. Rides will wind through the historic residential sections of downtown.
This is a great family and group activity – up to 20 people can ride along together per trip!
11 am to 6 pm: Take-your-own-photos with the real Santa and Mrs. Clause, on an incredible stage surrounded by decorations and an artisan bazaar.
11-6 pm: Various music productions will be on stage
11-6 pm: Food trucks, vendors, critters, SNOW!
12-5pm: Chocolate Tasting at various locations
11-6 pm: Paint Ball action! FREE
12-1 pm: Live radio coverage.
5:45 pm: The Mayor of Monroe and Santa lead the countdown from the Stage located on the corner of Main and Lewis, for the 6:00 pm tree lighting.

Santa's Arrival and Tree Lighting with Live Reindeer, pony rides (fee), train rides (fee), the Grinch, choirs and more at Country Village in Bothell - Today, Saturday, December 6th 2014 until 8pm...Santa arrives by Float this year at 7pm!





" It’s a holiday wonderland at Country Village with live reindeer, caroling by local choirs all day long, whimsical gingerbread house display, surprise visit by the Grinch, and 40 local shops and restaurants all decked out in their best with thousands of twinkling lights. An animated light display featuring a 40’ sea serpent, fiddling pig, giant dragonfly, marching ducks and more!

Be sure to visit Santa’s Workshop featuring on the spot Santa Photos by Arthur & Associates. Complimentary hot roasted chestnuts begin at 4 pm ‘til they last. Our own Town Crier will herald the arrival of Santa at 7 pm on his dazzling Christmas float followed by a traditional tree lighting. Everyone will get a chance to greet Santa and receive a candy cane. 

The Gingerbread House Contest winners will be announced just before Santa arrives. 

Doll House Baked Goods will be selling tasty holiday treats at Santa's Workshop. 

Pony and train rides (weather permitting) are open for a nominal fee.

A Winterfest crowd favorite, an exhibit exploring an enchanting turn-of-the-century village and train. Take a turn “conducting” the model train between 10:30am – 12 noon, 1pm – 2:30pm, and 3:30pm – 5:30pm daily. $2 suggested donation.



Winterfest Art Installations

The artworks will draw the attention of Seattle Center visitors through moments of surprise, contemplation, beauty and humor, and enliven the visitor experience by introducing an element of the unexpected into everyday environments throughout the Seattle Center campus during Winterfest. Selected artists will design and develop a series of small-scale temporary artworks dealing with illumination and light, and complimenting the activities of Winterfest.

Seattle Center Student Showcases fill the Armory Atrium with the sounds and sights of the season as they offer public and private schools and youth groups the opportunity to share their artistic accomplishments with family, friends, and the public.

These young apprentice singers, ages 7 – 11, are actively preparing for advancement into the highly acclaimed Northwest Boychoir. They maintain a busy performance schedule, regularly singing for the Northwest Film Forum’s Holiday High Notes, the Christmas Ships, and numerous other events. They’ve performed in holiday concerts and benefits for Seattle Symphony, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and the Snowman Foundation at Benaroya Hall.

Introducing the most positive aspects of the Mexican culture to the broader community, the Bailadores break down cultural barriers and build bridges as they teach and perform Mexican folkloric dances throughout the Pacific Northwest. Garfield High School’s jazz culture supports multiple levels of jazz bands and over 75 student artists. Under the brilliant leadership of Clarence Acox, Garfield brings to young people the jazz traditions of nation’s great big bands. A frequent participant in highly competitive Essentially Ellington National Jazz Band Competition and Festival at Lincoln Center in New York City, the Garfield Jazz program has nurtured instrumentalists who have gone on to study at leading music schools throughout the country.

The Mood Swings jazz band aims to inspire a love of jazz in the community and a culture of camaraderie and empowerment among its female musicians of all ages. Founded in 2005 by six female musicians who found each other through their love of jazz, the group has grown into a true big band, with hundreds of tunes to their repertoire. Under the musical direction of Marissa Tanimura, the Mood Swings regularly present high-energy, fun-filled performances throughout the Northwest.

KlezKidz brings to life a multiplicity of Jewish music and mirth from around the world. Listen and you’ll hear the wail of the clarinet in rousing song, see bottles being balanced on the heads of dancers, and maybe even learn some new dance steps yourself! What started out in 1995 with only a few kids and their musical parents has grown into a 40-piece ensemble, with instrumentalists from 8-years-old to 80.

This super fun, five-piece band takes you through the sounds of the 1970‘s to today’s greatest hits including Studio 54 funk, synth pop, and party rock. Not many bands can go from LMFAO, Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga to Earth Wind and Fire and Aretha Franklin. THE NINES will have you dancing the night away!

" Come and enjoy our free family-oriented Festival of Trees Celebration. Our guests, featured patients, friends and family will enjoy entertainment provided by the St. Jude Parish Sanctuary Choir. Story tellers will read Christmas stories.

One of our our featured patients will start the Celebration by lighting the Fairmont Olympic's grand lobby tree. Another featured patient will open the Teddy Bear Suite for the season. 

Numerous holiday items, including wreaths, small trees, table decorations, and ornaments are designed and crafted by our guild members especially for our guests. Children can pose with Santa for a photo taken by Yuen Lui Photography.


Proceeds from the Festival of Trees Celebration benefit the Seattle Children's Autism Center and uncompensated care at Seattle Children's Hospital. Your support enables the hospital to continue its research toward new treatments and cures for diseases and allows Seattle Children's to provide the highest quality, family-oriented care.

"Aki Matsuri" - aka Fall Festival - A festival of Japanese Culture with workshops, demos, martial arts, puppet shows and more - Saturday and Sunday, September 6th and 7th from 10am-6pm (until 4:30pm on Sunday)




Head to Bellevue College and experience this wonderful festival!



" Every Fall, ENMA presents "Aki Matsuri (Fall Festival)", a 2-day program of Japanese cultural, educational, and fun events for all age groups.

The Aki Matsuri is a celebration of Japan's rich cultural heritage. A large number of local artists and craftpersons practicing Japanese-style arts and crafts (including the performing arts and martial arts), and Japan related businesses & organizations will be participating during the entire two day event activities. 

2014 will be our 17th year to present the Aki Matsuri. "2014 Aki Matsuri" will be held on September 6 (Saturday) and 7 (Sunday), 2014 at the Bellevue College's main campus located in Bellevue, Washington. "
