This years theme is "Kia Kaha" which means to "Stay Strong" in memory of a committee member who passed earlier this year.

 " Presented by Duvall Foundation for the Arts (DFA), SandBlast Festival of the Arts has been a staple in the community for over two decades. On July 16 and 17 there will be fine arts, live music and sand sculpting along the shores of the beautiful and historic Snoqualmie River at McCormick Park (26200 NE Stephens St, Duvall). "

Two Harvest Festivals with all kinds of free family fun tomorrow! One at Occidental Park in Seattle and one at Molbak's in Woodinville - Saturday, October 17th 2015 from 11am-4pm (Seattle's until 3pm)

Celebrate the change of seasons with Fall Family Harvest in Occidental Square Park.

Bring the whole family down on Saturday, Oct. 17 for FREE fun in the historic Pioneer Square park. Halloween costumes encouraged!

GET CRAFTY: Visit the Kid’s Corral, hosted by The Nest, for fun crafts and games; and make a pinecone birdfeeder with the Eastside Audubon Society.

DIG IN: Join Lisa Taylor for a puppet show filled with garden critters and hands-on fun.
 
GRAB A BITE: Treat the family to gourmet mini donuts from Mini The Dough Nut and check out the samples in our Home department.

STRIKE A POSE: Let artist, Tamara Belland, paint your portrait in watercolor; and bring your camera—there will be photo ops aplenty.

VOTE: Cast a vote for your favorite pumpkin carved by Molbak’s talented staff members.

Seattle Children's Festival at Seattle Center - Today, Sunday, October 11th 2015 until 5pm

Northwest Folklife’s Seattle Children's Festival is a one-day, multi-cultural festival held on Seattle Center grounds, “Celebrating Our Big Neighborhood.”

No admission charge thanks to your donations!


The Seattle Children’s Festival brings together local communities that showcase and celebrate families of the Northwest, introducing children in attendance to new cultures and traditions through a variety of education and hands-on programs. Tons of live performances and interactive workshops are geared toward families and children of all ages.

Now that it isn't a day of downpours head to County Village for their 28th Annual Harvest Festival!

Othello Park International Music and Arts Festival with games, activities, petting zoo and more in Seattle - Today, Sunday, August 16th 2015 until 6pm!





" We’ll gather in a grassy meadow under big, old trees at the 9th annual Othello Park International Music and Arts Festival. A world of ethnic variety will convene with music, dancing, food, art activities, and booths. Of course, there will be Othello’s traditional petting zoo from Old McDebbie’s Farm complete with camel, and his multicultural furry friends.
Othello Park features strolling walkways, a permanent stage gracefully designed to suit its pastoral landscape, and a zip line. Come sit, relax, and enjoy the park’s beauty and the show.
Then you will want to be up and about visiting the array of tents and booths and sampling Rainier Valley’s colorful diversity of businesses and organizations. One large tent on the green will shelter the Festival’s traditional “Art Creation Station” to engage those young in age and young at heart, in a variety of hands-on visual art activities led by local artists. "

" Bon Odori is a traditional summer festival in which we honor our ancestors who have passed on, remember and appreciate all they have done for us, and celebrate their ongoing presence in the lives we enjoy today.
Also known as Obon, the festival is an official Seafair event held at the Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple. The main event is traditional music and dancing in the street in a giant oval. Many festival goers dress in Japanese kimono, yukata or happi coats. The event also features Japanese food booths and refreshment, taiko and martial arts performances, and craft exhibits and demonstrations. "

Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival = 14 performances in 2 days at Volunteer Park in Seattle - Saturday and Sunday, July 11th and 12th 2015 - Various times
