9th Annual Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo with more Free Fun! - Saturday, June 1st 2013 from 11am-3pm


We posted about this last year and this year they have added even more free fun to the event! What a great way to honor their son and educate children on bike safety.


" It’s that time of year to remind kids about bike safety and have fun doing it. The Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo will be on Saturday, June 1, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is located on the backside of Cascade View Elementary School, 34816 SE Ridge Street and the adjacent Snoqualmie Community Park parking lot.

The Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo is a commemoration of seven-year-old Tanner Jeans who was in a tragic bicycle accident in 2004. This event is dedicated to keeping every child safe through bike safety education.

New activities this year include a bicycle parade and performances by the Mount Si High School cheer squad and the Snoqualmie Valley Unicycle Club. All kids can join the parade by lining up at 10:45 a.m. in front of the Snoqualmie Community Center/YMCA on SE Ridge St. "

All of the following activities are free!
  •  Obstacle courses with bike safety instruction by the Snoqualmie Police Department
  •   Bike helmets inspections; replacement helmets will be provided to those children whose helmet does not pass inspection
  •   Professional bike inspections 
  • Kids bicycle parade – 10:45 a.m. 
  •  Performance by the Mount Si High School Cheer Squad at 12:45 p.m. followed by
    the Snoqualmie Valley Unicycle Club 
  •  Bike stunts by Compass Outdoor Adventures, Snoqualmie Dirt Corps, and Gregg’s
  •   T-shirts and safety certificates for all kids 
  •  Hot dogs, beverages and snacks all day 
  • Bouncy houses and face painters
  •  Legends Car Club antique cars
