" Luminata Lantern Parade is upon us! On the heels of this year's amazing Fremont Solstice Parade, the Fremont Arts Council celebrates the autumn equinox on September 19th, 2015 with the exquisite Luminata procession around Green Lake Park in Seattle.

The seasons are beginning to change. Many traditions around the world recognize these last days of the active summer are about to shift into the introspective time of winter. Lanterns are a beautiful symbol of our spirit as a community that will sustain us through the cold months.

We meet at dusk Saturday the 19th at 7pm at the bleachers on the south shore of Green Lake. Bring your lanterns, lighty toys, costumes, drums, instruments, blinkies, lighted umbrellas, stilts, fun costumes and comfortable walking shoes!

All afternoon on Saturday the 19th there will be lanterns available for purchase at the bleachers. You can buy a lantern and support the FAC! Look for our sales tents set up at 2 pm.

At the end of the Parade there is the Prince's Banquet where the Prince of Summer hands off the season to awesome King Winter. There will be cookies and cider for sale, a buck each - buy a cider and support the FAC! "
