3rd Annual Polish Festival at the Seattle Center - Saturday, July 12th 2014 from 12-8pm

" Join us for 3rd Annual Polish Festival at Seattle Center on Saturday, July 12, 2014.

The Festival Program will feature live music and dance, authentic Polish food and workshops related to Polish culture and traditions. Merchandise market place will offer traditional folk costumes, pottery, amber jewelry, crystal, art and more. 

New this year will be presentation of cultural traditions from northern Poland ’s region known as Pomerania and Kashubia / Pomorze and Kaszuby. The festival will also showcase the "Traditional Passions of Poland" which have been cultivated for generations. Through interactive activity, conversation, literature, photographs and food tasting, the demonstrations will highlight the culture of honey-making; mushroom picking and use in traditional Polish dishes; the art of sausage making and tasting of traditional products.

Plus,

Grand Opening and Parade starts at 12 noon forming at the Mural Amphitheatre and concluding at the Armory main stage. The program will feature national anthems, welcome remarks by distinguished guests and an award ceremony. 

Special guests include: US Congressman Jim McDermott and Consul General of Poland from Los Angeles, Mariusz Brymora.

Brad Goode, KOMO 4 News Anchor will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

And there will be children's activities as well!


" The family-friendly programs include several activities for children to choose from. In the Armory look for the special children’s area primed with arts & crafts, and face painting. Come and join us for a lot of fun! "
