" Come celebrate World Water Day 2014 with IslandWood and King County at Brightwater Center! Discover how people across the globe use water to do everything from cook dinner to create electricity, and what those actions mean for the planet. We’ll have activities for all ages including art projects, outdoor exploration, and science experiments to help us learn more about the world of water! Pack a lunch, bring a friend and visit us between 10:00am and 1:00pm - our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to guide your activities and answer your questions.

For those interested in learning more about the King County wastewater treatment process, a tour of the Brightwater Treatment Plant will be happening at 10am. Tour participants must be at least 9 years old. You can register for the tour here."
