Special Storytime featuring Gun Violence Prevention at Central Branch of the Seattle Public Library - Saturday, March 1st 2014 at 10am

Books about gun violence prevention will be read at this event for kids at the library!

" The Seattle Public Library (SPL) recently reversed its policy prohibiting loaded guns on the premises.

People must have a driver's license to get a library card, but no background check is required to open carry a weapon...

So please, join Moms and Grandmothers as we gather outside the library (4th St entrance) to promote awareness about open carry laws and the importance of universal background checks.

Kids not only welcome, their attendance encouraged!

We’ll then head inside (silently, as library patrons) for a story hour where books related to gun violence prevention will be read.

Oh, and wear your Moms or GAGV t-shirts, but leave your signs at home! "
