Come celebrate the new year at Bellevue Arts Museum with art activities, demonstrations, and performances featuring some amazing cultures from around the world.

Hawaiian Paper Leis
Create your own Hawaiian Flower Lei, similar to those worn by traditional Hawaiian performers.

Indian Diya Lamps
Use clay, jewels and shimmering paints to create a sparkling Diya, a traditional oil lamp used on special occasions in India.

Japanese Gyotaku Fish Rubbing
Learn the art of Gyotaku Fish Rubbing using paint and canvas to print your own colorful sea creature.

Japanese Kimono Dolls
Make your own paper doll to create a beautiful kimono inspired by traditional Japanese fashion.

Inuit Bird Hand Paintings
Create a personal Inuit Bird painting by tracing your hand to create feathers influenced by authentic Inuit drawings.

Australian Aboriginal Art
Create a picture of an Australian critter using paint and sponges inspired by traditional aboriginal art styles.

African Ankara Jewelry

Make noise and celebrate with these adorable egg shakers, inspired by those used in Latin America to celebrated holidays and traditions.

Swedish Dala Horse Puppets
