FREE Children's Film Festival: Animated Short Films for ages 5 and up and Live-Action Short Films for ages 7 and up at the Seattle Public Library's Central Branch - Friday and Saturday, December 27th and 28th 2013 - 1pm both days for Animated Short Films and 2:30pm both days for Live-Action Short Films!


This is a must do event! I did this when my little guy was 3 and we loved it. We didn't get to do it last year so we are definitely doing it this year!



CHILDREN'S FILM FESTIVAL: ANIMATED SHORT FILMS
Friday & Saturday, Dec. 27th and 28th 2013 FROM 1 – 2:10 p.m.



Watch independent short films for children from around the world, selected by Children's Film Festival Seattle 2013. For ages 5 and up.


Feel like taking a trip around the world? Then hop aboard a celluloid magic carpet to take a trip all the way from the Arctic to Mozambique, with stops along the way to see animated sights in Istanbul, Germany, France, Argentina and India! See the world and feed your mind with this collection of animated short films.

Films in this program include:
- Bottle (USA)
- Istanbul (Turkey) 
- Chinti (Russia) 
- Tuurngait (France) 
- The Town Musicians of Bremen (Japan)
- Emilie (Germany) 
- Luminaris (Argentina)
- A Shadow of Blue (France) 
- The Change (Mozambique)



One film has subtitles, but children do not need to be able to read to enjoy the films.


Recommended for ages 5 and older.

Friday & Saturday, Dec. 27th and 28th 2013 from 2:30 – 3:40 p.m.


Watch independent short films for children from around the world, selected by Children's Film Festival Seattle 2013. For ages 7 and up.


The girls and boys in these films are full a determination to live life to the fullest -- despite obstacles and challenges that sometimes seem daunting. You'll be amazed by their ingenuity, strength and sense of adventure. See the world and feed your mind with this collection of live-action short films. 

Films in this program include:
- Hoverboard (USA) 
- Calling Quilombola (Brazil)
- Minnie Loves Junior (Australia)
- The Homework (Colombia) 
- In a Heartbeat (Iceland) 
- B-Boy (USA)


Recommended for ages 7 and older. Two films have subtitles.
