Taproot Theatre presents 'Trouble in Fairytalezania' at the Seattle Public Library's Central Branch - Saturday, October 12th 2013 from 2-3pm

" Join the Library and ArtsCrush for a free performance of "Trouble in Fairytalezania," a play for grades K-6 about bullying prevention -- recognize, refuse, report! -- diversity and getting past differences.

...On the playground, Kara witnesses Sophie bullying the new kid Walter because he’s a bit different, but Kara chooses not to do anything. When her mother sees that she is unsettled, she promises to talk about it with Kara in the morning.

Falling asleep reading Cinderella, Kara is summoned to Talezania by the Fairy Godmother, who enlists her aid in stopping Wolfgang from bullying the other fairy tale characters and ruining their happy-ever-afters. She teaches Kara to effectively Recognize, Refuse and Report. With all restored in Talezania, the Fairy Godmother sends Kara home, where she wakes up and is able to implement her newly acquired skills by befriending Walter on the playground. "
