The Seattle Public Library presents "Young and Talented: Slavic Artists" - A singer, violinist and pianist will perform classical music at the Central Branch in Seattle - Saturday, Septemer 21st 2013 from 2-3:30pm


This sounds like it will be a beautiful performance!

" Enjoy rising stars in the local Slavic music scene as they perform classical masterpieces.

Maria-Viktoria Kovalsky is the winner of several young talent competitions, including the Talent Show in Seattle. She will sing several songs, including:
- "Ave Maria" by Franz Schubert
- "Ave Maria" by Bach/Gounod
- one of Cherubino’s arias from Mozart’s "Marriage of Figaro"
- "The Lark" by Mikhail Glinka

Afterward, Pavel Khiminets will play selected tunes on his violin.

Sergei Posrednikov, pianist for local band Feral Children, will also perform music by Sergei Rachmaninov and Frédéric Chopin.

This event will be presented in both English & Russian. "
