" Celebrate the late-summer return of the salmon and learn about Native American cultures. Find out how to care for our planet with earth-friendly art making, fantastic family tours, exciting live performances and more!
The day will include:
- Drop-in activities and demonstrations from Friends of Waterfront Seattle, Orca Network, Seattle Aquarium Beach Naturlaist Program, The Trust for Public Land, Waterfront Seattle
- Garden Flags with teaching artist Janet Fagan - Artist
- Grass weaving with Sarah Kavage, artist and urban planner, and Adria Garcia, fashion stylist and Native Taino artist
- Family-friendly yoga with 8 Limbs Yoga Centers at 10:30 and 11 am
- Performances of As Long as the River Runs, an original musical play from Red Eagle Soaring Native Youth Theater at 11:30 am and 1:15 pm
- Salmon Art with fiber artist Melinda West from noon-3 pm
- Site, Sculpture, Shoreline: Discover the Olympic Sculpture Park tours at noon and 1 pm
- Live performances of Latin and Jazz favorites from Alma Villegas y Azucar at 12:30 and 2 pm
- Scrumptious and environmentally responsible food (including vegetarian options) from TASTE Restaurant and Events and BUNS gourmet natural burgers
