Seattle Opera presents "MAKE SOME NOISE! - RING OPEN HOUSE" - Interactive Music Event with Scavenger Hunt and more at McCaw Hall in Seattle - Saturday, August 3rd 2013 from 10am-3pm



Free admission to a great event for all ages!


" We’re kicking off our 50th Anniversary at 10:00 AM on August 3 with a FREE all-day open house at McCaw Hall.

Discover the incredible physical-musical-sculpture of Lelavision and Marlin Peterson’s three-dimensional sidewalk art depicting scenes from Wagner’s Ring. Create your own musical instrument and explore KING FM’s Instrument Petting Zoo. Participate in a scavenger hunt and enjoy afternoon performances with Seattle Youth Symphony of Our Earth, Seattle Opera’s trilogy of operas created especially for families! Conducted by Stephen Rogers Radcliffe and composed by Eric Banks, Our Earth, follows a cast of animal and human characters as they search for salmon that have mysteriously failed to return to the sea one spring.  "

1:15 PM – 1:45 PM - Performance: Rushing Upriver
1:45 PM – 2:30 PM - “Finer Points of Kazoo Virtuosity” and other musical noise
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM - Performance: Every River Has Its People
3:00 PM – Event Concludes
