10 free fun events happening Saturday, June 2nd 2012!


Art on the Fly in Seattle 12-6pm - Dozens of FREE kid-friendly dance events will turn the Seattle Streetcar into a giant “art ride” through downtown and South Lake Union. -  Info. here.

Nature Walk at Lake Hills 2pm - "Tours of the Greenbelt" - Join a Park Ranger a free guided tour of the Lake Hills Greenbelt.  Visit restoration sites, tour a cedar forest and learn about local wildlife.  These walks are free and meet at the Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Station every Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. Walks are fun for the whole family, all ages are welcome and no registration is necessary. - Info. here.

Seward Park Guided Walk 1-2:30pm for kids 5+ - Chipmunks, all sorts of birds, butterflies, raccoons, turtles – everyone is here! Come explore Seward Park with a naturalist guide on this free walk. Space is limited to the first 25 participants, so please register. - Spots available - Info. here.

First Saturdays for Families at Seattle Asian Art Museum - "Lots of Pots" 11am-2pm - Admission to the Seattle Asian Art Museum is free on the first Saturday of each month for families- Discover pottery from Asia and make your own colorful clay creation! - Info. here.

20th Annual Beacon Hill Festival 11am-4pm - This year's festival at the Jefferson Community Center, Jefferson Park will feature two stages full of entertainment to go along with the food, games, vendors, and other activities at the festival. - Info. here.

2nd Birthday Bash at KiDiMu on Bainbridge Island - 10am-4pm - KiDiMu’s Birthday Bash will be a day filled with FREE family fun with performances by Roberto the Magnificent, performances by Motsimoyo Marimba, David Webb and the rock-and-roll children’s band The Not-Its!; surprise visits by the BIFD firefighters and their truck, and the BIPD officers and their car; plus face painting, a photo booth, popcorn, chocolate and more! - Info. here.

Kidney Health Fest For African Americans in Seattle 9am-2pm - All are welcome!  Tons of free health screenings, consultations with doctors, celebrity chefs, speakers, special appearances, entertainment, music, exhibits and a chance to win prizes and for kids - a coloring area, obstacle course and fun activities.
