Giving Globally: The Power of Children - A FREE Panel Discussion for Parents - Thursday, April 26th 2012 from 7-9pm

Have you noticed the new banner ad above all my posts recently? This is a great, FREE event presented to help parents inspire their kids to think and act globally. You can RSVP for this informative event sponsored by Sponge, ParentMap and Seattle Children's Theatre at the link listed below.

Here is an excerpt from the press release:

Sponge, a leader in children's language education, will sponsor a dynamic panel discussion for parents on the evening of Thursday, April 26. This conversation will focus on what parents can do to inspire their children to think and act globally in early childhood. It's never too early to start. Local experts will offer important take-aways for parents on how to help their children form meaningful connections that encourage them to make a difference. This is a free event.

The panel will offer ideas on volunteer experiences, how to talk about the world with kids, how travel can be a wonderful way to inspire empathy, and how spending time with people from other cultures here at home can also create important connections. Come hear inspiring stories about what young people and families are doing in their schools and communities to benefit causes around the world.
