Special Storytime with the Author of Paolo's Adventures at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park - Sunday, January 15th from 5:30-6:30pm

Take the kids to Third Place books tomorrow for a special storytime as the author reads her book that is based on a true story about a local kitty!

Paolo’s Adventures is the tale, written by local resident author Carolyn Banguero, of a real very brave little kitty who was born in the wild with his siblings, rescued and brought into a foster home. However, when this small kitten played, he would run out of breath very quickly. This was due to a concave ribcage that was pushing his heart and lungs to the side. Paolo was then brought to MEOW (Mercer Island Eastside Orphans and Waifs) Cat Rescue and had surgery to correct this. He wore a body cast while his body healed. Along the way, Paolo learned how to trust people in his journey of healing. And so this is the story of his adventure!


FYI - MEOW is a non-profit, no-kill cat and dog rescue organization that helps many animals such as Paolo. And the author donates a percentage of the net proceeds to this organization. :-)
