THEESatisfaction, the “lo-fi rebel hiphop” duo of Seattle’s Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White, has a way with playful rhymes.

EMG Discovery: Education of a Noble Child

The program features Cecil Longino, director, fencing; Vicki Boeckman, music director, recorder; and additional musicians and participating children.

Saturday Family Concerts: Gustafer Yellowgold with Seattle Rock Orchestra

Saturday, March 24th, 2012, 12pm

Gustafer (Morgan Taylor) unites his infectious multimedia performance of music, animation, and storytelling with the symphonic sounds of the Seattle Rock Orchestra (known for its performances at Sasquatch in 2010 and 2011, and tributes to the likes of Arcade Fire, David Bowie, the Beach Boys, and Queen).

King/Snohomish Regional Spelling Bee

Sunday, March 25th, 2012, 1–3pm
 Free, no tickets required.
This upbeat, community-wide celebration of language, education, family, and hard work is like a good reality show: incredibly intense, immensely fun—and free.

Saturday, April 21st, 2012, 11am and 1pm

After 20 years playing in folk/rock bands, Seattle musician Johnny Bregar surprised even himself with his first solo release: a kids’ record called Stomp Yer Feet. Turned out to be a good surprise.

Message From Guinea is a group of extraordinary Seattle-based West African artists spreading a message of joy, unity, and transformation. With powerful rhythms, high-energy dances, melodic songs, and traditional instruments steeped in the heritage of their home country of Guinea, West Africa— one of the few places where indigenous drumming and dance traditions are still woven into everyday life.


*The $25 fee listed is for unaccompanied adults only.
