Free Community Planetarium Show "Stars" at Bellevue College - Friday, December 2nd at 7:30pm and 8:30pm - See details.
The folks over at SAMI (Science and Math Institute) of Bellevue College tell me that they are having a special showing of "Stars" - a planetarium show tomorrow night! They also tell me that although they do have people sign up for free reserved tickets online that they also set aside additional seats for people that were unable to reserve tickets online. They mentioned that there is about 20+ additional seats per show and that generally they have never had to turn anyone away. So, it is probably worth a shot to go and see it using the waitlist policy.
If you want a fun and educational outing with your kids age six and up, then this would be a great one to check out!
Here is the waitlist policy as listed on their website:
Waitlist Admission: An additional 15 seats will be saved for those who were unable to reserve advance tickets online. At 7:00 PM the night of each show a waitlist sign-up sheet will be posted outside of the planetarium (Room B244). All remaining seats in the planetarium will be given to those on the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis.
This is what tomorrow's "Stars" presentation is about:
" Every star has a story. Some are as old as time, faint and almost forgotten. Others burn bright and end their lives in powerful explosions. New stars are created every day, born of vast clouds of gas and dust. Through every phase of their existence, stars release the energy that powers the Universe. Journey to the furthest reaches of our galaxy and experience both the awesome beauty and destructive power of "Stars". "
Please note that because the planetarium must be totally dark during the show, no one will be admitted once the presentation begins.
The planetarium is located in Room B244 on the main campus of Bellevue College.
The show is not recommended for children under age six.
