Ok. So I searched and searched for the perfect potty seat...for my little one when it was time to start potty training.

Considering the ick factor, I did not want one that had to be put on and off the toilet seat EVERY SINGLE TIME my son had to go potty. I also did not want one that I would have to wash up, wash out, wash off, wash, wash, wash every time either. Plus, where does one store the ones that had to be placed on the regular toilet every single time? Hang it from the ceiling on a string? I think not. And lastly, I didn't want two separate potties in the bathroom, at least not in two separate places.

Also, this is just me personally, but I didn't want one that screamed "toddler in the house" with all kinds of colors, lights, bells, whistles and licensed characters. We have enough toys in the house for that job!

So, after exhaustive search for the perfect toilet seat that would fit all our needs, I found THE ONE! And it was perfect. White, (matches our commode!), simple and easy to use - thank goodness. And other than the occasional oops factor, didn't needed to be cleaned every single time. Plus other bonuses, no complicated locks, knobs, or anything needed to open it. Yes, just a single hand of the little guy would do the trick. He could lift up the lightweight lid to "his" part of the seat, do his business and put the lid back down. It was just like his very own "grown-up" seat but sized for him.

Then when it was mommy or daddy's turn we could just lift up our portion of the seat, use the potty, then just push the lid down slightly and magically the seat closes all by its self, quietly. Ok, can I just tell you how much I LOVE this dual potty seat for our family to use! And yes, as nothing in life is actually 100% perfect there was one flaw that I could live with considering all the benefits of everything else. It isn't sized just perfectly for the standard commode, just slightly, maybe a half an inch too narrow on either side. This. I. Can. Live. With.

So, if you are in the market for a great dual potty seat - I highly recommend this one! Without further ado, here it is:  Best dual potty seat for you and your kids - In my opinion!

When we first got it my son wanted us to help him up and stay in the room, etc. and now after 2 months of frequent use he says "I need my privacy", shuts the door and locks the lock. Boy they grow up fast!

(and just so you know, his "privacy" lasts all of about 5 or 10 seconds as we want to encourage autonomy but not forgo safety!)
