Bon Odori Festival at the Seattle Buddhist Temple in Seattle, Saturday July 16th from 4-10pm and Sunday, July 17th from 3-8pm

Go and experience the Bon Odori Festival in Seattle. Also known as Obon, the festival involves traditional music and dancing in the street in a giant oval. Many attendees dress in Japanese kimono or yukata. The event also features Taiko and martial arts performances, craft exhibits and demonstrations as well as Japanese food and refreshments.

Bon Odori is a traditional summer festival in which one honors their ancestors who have passed on, remember and appreciate all they have done for them, and celebrate their ongoing presence in the life they enjoy today.  For more info. go here.
