The American Heroes Air Show features a hands-on static display of lots of helicopters. You can see them up close and even sit in flight decks. Flight crews and pilots will be on hand to answer questions. And for a nominal fee, Helicopter
rides are also available. As of this posting, I do not have the pricing for it.
Plus, there is a Code 3 Career Fair there as well
where Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Service, BATFE, Army, Navy, Air
Force, Marines, US Coast Guard, TSA, US Border Patrol, Immigration and
Customs Enforcement, US Marshals, WSP, FBI, and the US Secret Service
have all participated in the past. A lot of them will bring equipment, as well, and the you and the kids can check them out too for a hands-on experience!
Per Facebook page-
Representative's response to "What time is everything happening?"
Answer:
"Depends
on what you want to do. If you want to watch helicopters arrive, be
there around 7:30. If you want to talk to Keith, be there at 8:30. If
you want to get a helicopter ride, line up by 9:30. If you just want to
get close with the aircraft and vehicles, it opens at 10. If you want to
see the Coast Guard get honored (Edgar MCing), be there by 1. If you
want to talk to Edgar, be there by 2"
So, there you go!
