The Seattle Public Library - Downtown Branch will host a free film screening of The Winds of Everest.
The 1984 Emmy Award-winning documentary has been described as inspiring and beautiful and is accompanied with a musical score by Alan Hovhaness. After the screening, audience members are invited to stay and discuss the film with its director, Laszlo Pal and its executive producer, Dan McConnell.

In collaboration with the Seattle Symphony and in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of world-renowned composer and longtime Washington resident Alan Hovhaness, The Seattle Public Library is proud to present a screening of the Emmy Award winning documentary, "Winds of Everest," with a score by Hovhaness, which chronicles the 1984 Mount Everest expedition led by Lou Whittaker. |
