Celebrate the late-summer return of the salmon and learn about Native American cultures with earth-friendly art making, exciting live performances, family-friendly yoga, nature walks, bites from the Fish Basket food truck, and much more!
Free and open to the public.
Animal Portraits
10 am–3 pm
Learn how to photograph animals with local photographer Annie Marie Musselman. Bring your own pets or stop by between 11:30 am–1:30 pm to get hands-on with live cuddly animals from Animal Encounters. Use provided Poloroid cameras or bring your own camera/device.

Family-Friendly Yoga in the Park
10:30–11:30 am
Join 8 Limbs Yoga for a special all-ages class that highlights Washington’s waterfronts. Bring your own mat, water, and any other needed supplies. Rain or shine! Presented in partnership with Friends of Waterfront Seattle.

12:30 pm & 1:30 pm
With jungly afro-cuban beats, fiery salsas, sultry R&B, and even a good ol' fashion bluegrass stomp, this 7-piece world-funk band gets down and dirty! Featuring accordion, violin, cornet, and a full rhythm section, performing eclectic originals and covers, it's Astor Piazolla meets Dr Dre, deep grooves handmade in Seattle.

Storytelling with Paul “Che oke ten” Wagner
1 pm
Listen to traditional songs and stories of Che oke ten’s Coast Salish tribal ancestors and enjoy the warmth, humor, and wisdom of these beautiful teachings. Engage and interact as Che oke ten weaves stories with Native American flute and traditional tribal drum songs.

SAM Creates
10 am–3 pm
Enjoy art-making activities and learn more about the impact of salmon in our region with SAM teaching artists Romson Bustillo,Sandra Farmer, and Laura Sindell.
