 It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Register for the count or use your existing login name and password. If you have never participated in the Great Backyard Bird Count or any other Cornell Lab citizen-science project, you’ll need to create a new account. If you already created an account for last year’s GBBC, or if you’re already registered with eBird or another Cornell Lab citizen-science project, you can use your existing login information.

2. Count birds for at least 15 minutes on one or more days of the GBBC. You can count for longer than that if you wish! Count birds in as many places and on as many days as you like—one day, two days, or all four days. Submit a separate checklist for each new day, for each new location, or for the same location if you counted at a different time of day. Estimate the number of individuals of each species you saw during your count period.

3. Enter your results on the GBBC website by clicking “Submit Observations” on the home page. Or download the free GBBC BirdLog app to enter data on a mobile device. If you already participate in the eBird citizen-science project, please use eBird to submit your sightings during the GBBC. Your checklists will count toward the GBBC.

Pacific NW Regional Yo-Yo Championships AT SEATTLE CENTER - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH 2015 - VIEWING AVAILABLE FROM 11AM-5PM WITH AWARDS AT 5:30PM!

" Do you enjoy seeing robots battle? Are you interested in engaging your child in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)? Save the date! On Saturday, January 31, 2015, Washington FIRSTRobotics will hold its state championships for FIRST Lego League and FIRST Tech Challenge at ShoWare Center in Kent, WA. Over 1,200 kids grades 4th-12th from across Washington State will be competing in teams. This will be the first time that FIRST Lego League and FIRST Tech Challenge teams will be competing under the same roof. "

" Bring decorated (lights please!) car, truck, or 2-wheeler to Snohomish.  Our route is a lap around 1st and 2nd Street. Traffic flows clockwise. Show up any time between 6 & 7 pm. Enter anywhere along the route. It's "Freestyle"! Do a few laps, or the whole hour. Bring your camera too! Must be street-legal! "

Blue Angels Flights over Lake Washington this weekend! - Saturday and Sunday, August 2nd and 3rd, 2014 - 12:15pm - Road closures 30 minutes prior!

The US Navy Blue Angels are in town and you can see their flight routines this weekend over Lake Washington! You can see them from various viewing points around the area. Two things to note: (especially if you are new to the area) don't forget bridge closures from 11:45-2:45pm so you can plan accordingly and keep in mind for the little ones that they will be LOUD!!
