Free Entrance to National Parks for Presidents Day weekend - Saturday through Monday, February 14th-16th 2015 - All day!

It is suppose to be nice this weekend in the Greater Seattle area...head to a national park for free!

" Which national park will claim your attention this Presidents Day weekend?

All 405 national parks will provide free admission to everyone February 14-16, 2015 to honor our nation's leaders and their accomplishments.

Visit one of the scores of national parks with a direct connection to a president, including birthplaces, homes, monuments, memorials, and historic sites. One national park, the White House, has been the residence of every United States president except George Washington.

Check the calendar of events to find special activities taking place in national parks across the country.

Presidential travel itineraries, lesson plans, and essays provide insight into the men who have governed our country.

In addition to the 405 national parks, the National Park Service helps communities preserve other presidential sites through programs such as the National Register of Historic Places and National Historic Landmarks. Keep in mind that only sites in the National Park System have free entrance this weekend.

"National Park Family Day" with wild animals and more at Rainier Community Center in Seattle - Saturday, May 19th 2012 from 10am-4pm

Rainier Community Center is hosting "National Park Family Day" where kids can become a Jr. Ranger, see live wild animals, make s'mores, sing camp songs, enjoy hands-on demos, win prizes and explore more activities! Lots of organizations will be onsite to answer questions, educate and offer presentations.
