Magic in the Market Holiday Celebration with Santa, photo opps., cookie decorating, a caroling competition and more in Pike Place Market in Seattle - Saturday, November 28th 2015 from 1-5pm





" Celebrate the holiday season at Magic in the Market! Meet and take FREE photos with Santa. Decorate gingerbread cookies with your family in the Market Atrium Kitchen. 

Get a belly full of laughs from performances by the Figgy Pudding Caroling Teams, right under the Public Market Center clock and sign. 

Enjoy Martin Family Orchard's apple cider, indi chocolate's hot chocolate and MarketSpice tea while you shop for locally made gifts. 

At 5 pm, Santa will lead a countdown to the lighting of the 20-foot holiday tree and lights throughout the Market. Join in the fun and the kick off to the holiday season!

"Cupcakes and Cumbia" A FREE Fiesta presented by Sponge with a native Central American dance, Cupcake Royale cupcake decorating, crafts, games and a mini-Spanish language lesson at Sponge in Seattle - Saturday, April 4th 2015 from 2:30-4pm

" Sponge invites families to dance, craft, and decorate a sweet cupcake with Cupcake Royale at a free, fun, "Cupcakes and Cumbia" fiesta!

Join the kids as they shimmy to the beat of the Central American dance known as Cumbia. Once they've danced to their hearts content, they can try spring-themed crafts, games and free Spanish mini-classes.

It's not a party without cake! Cupcake Royale is bringing their delectable mini-cupcakes and frosting -  kids can top their treats themselves. "

" The Port of Everett's FREE Annual Holiday on the Bay event is back again this year on Saturday, December 6! Kids and adults alike are invited join us for a day of fun in and around the Port of Everett's Waterfront Center.
This year, the event will include a craft fair with vendors from the Everett Farmer's Market, face painting, holiday ornament and cookie decorating hosted by the Imagine Children’s Museum, holiday spirits from Scuttlebutt Brewing Company and Bluewater Distillery for the adults, live music from local school choirs, a lighted boat parade and a holiday greeting from Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson and Port Commissioner Tom Stiger...and of course... a visit from SANTA!

Once again this year, Toys for Tots will be at the event accepting unwrapped gifts. Please bring your gifts to the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Center, located at 1205 Craftsman Way, by the Scuttlebutt entrance, anytime between November 24 and December 6. Annual "Magic in the Market" with Caroling Competition, Cookie Decorating, Santa and more at Pike Place Market in Seattle - Saturday, November 30th 2013 from 1-5pm



Take the kids and enjoy this fun holiday event!

" Bring the whole family for a fun holiday kickoff at Pike Place Market. Take a free photo with Santa in front of the Market clock and sign beginning at 1 pm. Kids 12 and under will have fun decorating cookies in the Market's new Atrium Kitchen. Shop for stocking stuffers and specialty foods before the holiday tree lighting at 5 pm.

Beneath the clock, Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition teams will entertain shoppers with comic and choral performances of holiday carols from 1-4:30 pm. Find a fresh cut Christmas tree, holiday wreaths, apple cider and more on Pike Place.

At 5 pm, Santa will lead a countdown to the lighting of the 20-foot holiday tree and lights throughout the Market.

So funny, because my son saw a picture online recently of a zucchini race event and was just asking me when he could do one of these! And wouldn't you know it, here is one!
 
" On September 22nd, West Seattle Farmers Market is hosting their annual Zucchini 500! Come to the market between 10am and 1pm to participate in making your own vegetable vehicle with wooden wheels and decoration and race it on the track! There will be races between 10am and 1am so everyone gets a chance to race. The Farmers Market will be providing all the parts for your vegetable car so come on over and race! Kids of all ages are welcome! "

We have done these events before and they are a lot of fun! 


" Share the love in February as we celebrate Valentine’s Day! Our first book is “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” by Laura Joffe Numeroff, the tale of a kind little boy and a hungry mouse. Then we’ll read “Plant a Kiss” by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, which shows how one small act of love blooms into something bigger and more dazzling than one could have ever imagined! Kids will decorate sugar cookies and their own mailbox that’s perfect for storing their Valentine’s Day cards. "
