As part of their Summer Festival Series the Seattle Chamber Music Society presents a family concert!
" Famed children's poet Jack Prelutsky reads from his own collection of clever and kid-friendly verse, inspired by Camille Saint-Saƫns' Carnival of the Animals, accompanied by pianists Jeewon Park and Anton Nel. A fun and playful way to introduce children ages 1-10 to classical music, the concert-reading also includes a pre-show event, where kids can get a hands-on experience at the musical instrument "petting zoo." Chosen as America's first children's poet laureate, Prelutsky is the author of more than 50 books of verse, including favorites like The Wizard, Scranimals and his latest, 2013's The New Kid on the Block. "
Note that one site states recommended for ages 1-5 and the other site says ages 5-10 but 1-10 should be fine. Under 1 are free if on lap.
