BC Science Division Open House
" SAMI and the Bellevue College Science Division will host a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 10am to 2pm in the college's S (science) building.
During the event, visitors of all ages can collect stamps in their STEM passports as they engage in hands-on activities and demonstrations from BC's 5 Science Division Programs: Earth and Space Sciences; Engineering Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences. Activities will include:
- Wave Tank Demonstrations in the Oceanography lab
- A Shark Tooth Fossil Dig
- Planetarium Shows
- Demonstrations of BC's Giant Van De Graaff Generator and Vacuum Cannon in the Physics lab
- Exciting Chemistry Demonstrations from the Chemistry Club
- Math Puzzles and Activities
- Engineering Experiments
- ...and more!
The event is free and open to the public. All activities will take place in the S building on the main campus of Bellevue College. A map of campus can be found here. Free parking will be available in the Bellevue College Parking Garage. "
