" Tuesday, November 27 marks the iconic musician’s big 70th! Celebrate Hendrix's legacy for free in EMP’s Sky Church with Jimi's original white Fender Stratocaster from his legendary performance at Woodstock, video birthday wishes, opportunities to write your own birthday greeting to the guitar master, and rare footage of  Hendrix performances, including a music video for "Hey Joe" filmed in 1967; The Jimi Hendrix Experience performing "Wild Thing” at the Monterey Pop Festival; and interviews with Chas Chandler, Noel Redding, Billy Cox, Keith Altham, Kathy Etchingham, Linda (Keith) Porter, Zoot Money, and many more.

Septuagenarian? It’s your lucky day. Seventy year-olds receive free admission to all EMP exhibits all day long. ID required. "
