Grand Opening at KIS Organic Farm in Redmond - Saturday, October 20th 2012 from 9am-6pm

Welcome a new organic farm and attend their Grand Opening Celebration! 

" Join us in celebrating our Grand Opening on Saturday, October 20th! Fun, food, mead tasting, giveaways, music and free compost tea! Meet our staff, learn about chicken friendly gardens, specialty plants, permaculture & more. Check out our fall inventory in our nursery, visit our chickens and tour our nature trails and see salmon spawning in Bear Creek! "

 
Event Schedule:

10:30am, Walk around our edible nursery and learn about permaculture plants from expert Dave Boehnlein of Terra Phoenix Design

10-5pm, Jessi Bloom, author of Free Range Chicken Gardens and owner of NW Bloom Ecological Landscapes, will be on-site to sign books and answer your questions regarding chickens, landscaping, permaculture, and much more!

10-2pm, Free hot dogs, coffee, hot chocolate

2-6pm, Enjoy complimentary wine while you wander the property or watch the salmon spawn

9-3pm, Art projects for children of all ages!

Giveaways include:

• 1 gallon of KIS Compost Tea
• Gourmet Salad Mix Seeds
• Raffle for a variety of feed and pet toys
