Yay - they are making yo-yos tomorrow!
" For Filipino American History month participants will design their very own yo-yo! Though it was a popular toy, dating back from ancient histories, the actual yo-yo, as we know it today, did not actually revolutionize and gain popularity in the United States until the 1920s-1930s. The inventor was a Philippine immigrant named Pedro Flores who established his Yo-Yo Manufacturing company in Santa Barbara in the 1920s. Come design and celebrate Filipino American History month with us! "
