"Teen Night Out" at Seattle Art Museum (SAM) - Friday, December 9th from 7–10pm
"Teen Night Out" at SAM for highschoolers!
" Bursting at the seams with teen talent, these evenings of cool culture will make you have an art attack! For high school-age teens only, these not-to-be-missed evenings showcase poetry, DJ's teen art tours and workshops led by Seattle's hottest contemporary artists. This winter's Teen Night Out features free admission to Luminous: The Art of Asia and Theaster Gates: The Listening Room.
Come see performances by Garfield High School Drum Line, Mak Fai Chinese Lion Dancers and special guests Blue Scholars! Enjoy in-gallery experiences, including live music from Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, spoken word poetry with Youth Speaks and tours with SAM's Teen Advisory Group and Geo from Blue Scholars!
All-night art making includes figure drawing with Gage Academy of Art, button-making with EMP’s Youth Advisory Board, photo booth with Youth In Focus, silk-screening with Vera Project, henna designs with Seattle Asha and much more! "
Almost makes me wish I was a teen again! Almost.
